Ford EVDD is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities - such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling - to create ground-up breakthrough electric vehicles. In this role you will work on crucial hardware in the loop test engineering problems across our real-time application development teams for deeper test integration with underlying resources. HIL engineers help bridge the gap between hardware engineers, controls and software engineers, leveraging proven profiling, test, and debugging techniques to optimize compute and power management overhead. • Identify, generate and implement testcases and verification criteria for vehicle controller under test based on requirements developed by system engineers & SW developers.

• Operate and support HIL system (on-site) by running tests on them and Generate software to automate reporting output test results with failure notifications to the software developers.

• Help identify gaps in requirements and review the requirements for testability.

• Support all release testing.

• Document issues and work within teams to triage the bugs.

• Utilize numerical data analysis tools to interpret test results.

• Establish traceability using requirement management tools and version control.

• Triage software bugs through analysis and failure reproduction.
