(AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program.
Key Role:
- Plans, develops, delivers, and deploys configuration managed updates to GMASS-covered systems capabilities with no negative impact to mission performance and GMASS requirements while maximizing operational availability and cyber security.
- Performs design and implementation of Hardware systems that require the integration of diverse and complex components.
- Defines operational requirements including integration with other systems or components, researching, and modeling the hardware systems architecture and configuration, investigation alternatives, cost analysis and estimation, and decision analysis.
- Provides specific, detailed information for selection and implementation of hardware solutions including present and future capacity requirements, facility requirements (including floor layout, power cooling, network connectivity), data storage, backup, monitoring, operations systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.

This position is offering a pay range of $85,000.00- $135,000.00 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Required Qualifications:
Typical Education and Experience:
- Technical experience and knowledge of developing, implementing, and supporting hardware mission systems.
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
- Active Secret clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) System and the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attach Characterization Systems (PARCS) and their architectures.
