Senior Graphic Designer, Temp-To-Hire

Overview

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design of solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion. They will mentor designers, freelancers and interns and help ensure they adhere to performance standards and Keenan and Accretive core competencies.

This is a temp-to-hire role.

Keenan, an Accretive company, is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm meeting the insurance needs of hospitals, public entities and California school districts. Keenan specializes in providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits, workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property & liability.

What You'll Do

• Assumes a leadership role in the initial design and in the coordination of major projects, including pre-planning and post follow-up.

• Develops innovative print and digital solutions for Keenan, Accretive and their agencies.

• Guides and advises designer(s) in creating concepts, comps, layouts and final art and ensures they meet established deadlines.

• Works closely with the Creative Director to create accurate price estimates and breakdowns while delivering solutions within budget and invoicing after a project is completed.

• Supports Creative Director and steps in to manage the team when necessary.

• Seeks out new products and maintains cutting edge industry knowledge.

• Keeps informed on latest trends and forecasts.

• All other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• A four year degree in communications or a design discipline.

• Must be willing to commit to a temp-to-hire role.

• 10+ years designing graphics in a corporate environment.

• Experience managing design teams.

• Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions. Also has excellent organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated ability to work independently with strong orientation to detail.

• Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and basic Excel in a PC based environment. Proficient in print production on a large format Canon printer within 60 days. Good knowledge of major social media channels.

Compensation:

The target salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. Hybrid work environment flexibility.
