CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executing design projects, from conception to completion for print, packaging, digital and events.

  • Designing original pieces for special promotional packaging, collateral material and educational support materials.

  • Full knowledge of Pre and Post Press operations.

  • Able to lead and produce a photo shoot working with outside photographers as needed.

  • Strong negotiation skills with external vendors.

  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects.

  • Liaise with marketing and design team to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools.

MARKETING SUPPORT:

  • Design and develop assets for respective brands which includes catalogs, brochures, swatch charts, digital banners, posters and flyers.

  • Glorifiers, POP displays, eblasts, digital banners, product catalogs, promo sheets.

  • Ad layouts for trade and special trade events.

  • Promotional gift packaging, hang tags, shelf talkers, sampling programs.

SALES and DISTRIBUTOR SUPPORT:

  • Monthly Buyer's Guides which are direct sales tools for our Distributors and Deal Sheets.

  • Product and merchandising renderings.

  • Promo deal sheets for Revlon Professional for specific distributors.

  • Create 3D comps for the Sales team meetings with distributors when launching new products.

  • eBlasts and as needed digital assets.

  • Create promo sheets for Regis, ULTA, Ratner, SportClips specific to their unique needs.

  • Create 3D planogram renderings comps for specific distributors walk-through meetings as they are setting up planograms for the upcoming year.

  • Planogram renderings for product placement on our displays.

  • Rendering to show signage and product placement for new salon or distributor environments.

EDUCATION SUPPORT:

  • Flyers and class advertising and program certificates.

  • Trade show booth signage, renderings and mock-ups. Full understanding of working with large scale graphics.

  • Create formulation and technical guides for Revlon Professional brands.

ADMINISTRATION:

  • Project management: traffic meetings, processing job requests working with cloud-based project management software.

  • Manage visual assets and upload to FTP site.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven work experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer w Portfolio of completed design projects.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc).

  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts.

  • Attention to visual details.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.

  • BS degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or equivalent experience.

  • Beauty experience a plus.

VIEW JOBS 9/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-13T00:00 Job Description The Jacksonville Public Library system is seeking a Graphic Arts Designer Assistant, reporting to the Community Relations and Marketing Manager. This individual will assist the Graphic Arts Designer in creating informational materials for the library's 21 locations. This position requires knowledge of graphic art techniques, methods and procedures. Work location is the Main Library downtown at 303 Laura Street North. Work schedule is Monday – Friday during business hours. ONLINE APPLICATION REQUIRED. Examples of Work * Assists the graphic designer in creating complex and varied graphic art and copy layouts for brochures, posters, annual reports, fliers, forms, folders, letterheads, signs, and illustrations utilizing advanced graphic art computer hardware and software applications. * Responsible for graphic arts production tasks such as hand-cutting foam core, creating large posters, designing event fliers, searching online for images, and delivering collateral within the Main Library and to City Hall. * Supports the overall mission of the Library by providing customer service in a manner that creates a positive customer experience. * Takes photographs of special events as needed. * Prepares copy/print requests and tracks progress on outsourced projects. * Maintains records and files on assignments. * Assists with maintaining appearance standards by reporting facilities issues and picking up litter on library grounds. * Demonstrates proficiency in the City of Jacksonville's competencies. * Performs related work as required. Open Requirements/Supplemental Information This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week. Work schedule is Monday – Friday during business hours. * Four years of education or experience in the design, illustration, and layout of printed materials. * Proven experience with the following programs: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Macintosh operating systems, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. * Experience using a wide format printer beneficial. * Knowledge of printing terms and processes, and experience working with printers is desired. * Strong grammar, spelling and punctuation skills are important; knowledge of AP Style is a plus. * Excellent customer service skills. * Able to manage time well on multiple projects under strict deadlines. * Works well independently, as well as in groups. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Interest in working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of projects.
