What you'll do:

The Senior Graphic Designer produces visual solutions to the communication and marketing needs of Lifepoint hospitals, using a mix of print and digital creative skills. Oversees and provides guidance on visual solutions with internal clients ensuring quality and strategic direction of creative pieces.

Responsibilities:

  • Produces accurate and high-quality print and digital design work for multiple clients with great attention to detail, meeting project objective and target audience needs.
  • Consistently produces fresh new ideas and creative ways to communicate healthcare elements to consumers and partners
  • Uses innovation to meet the constraints of cost, time and client preferences
  • Performs multiple tasks/handles multiple projects at one time
  • Meets with clients throughout the organization to discuss and interpret their business needs
  • Uses a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design
  • Maintains skills in and knowledge of all current design and web tools to keep Lifepoint on leading edge in support of our hospitals
  • Works well in a team and cross-functionally; maintains flexibility
  • Works effectively and calmly to tight deadlines
  • Manages high volume of work and assignments

EXTERNAL QUALIFCATIONS

What you'll need:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Art/Design, Marketing, Business or other appropriate field of study.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in creative development and graphic design.
  • Previous experience in overseeing and guiding the graphic design process is required.
  • Advanced, demonstrated work experience with InDesign is required.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Agency and healthcare experience is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • · Complex Communication -- Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.
  • · Varied Business Problems -- Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents, and practices.
  • · Functional Independent Judgment -- Provides and sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs. Makes decisions for and/or resolves problems for others.
  • · Project Management Planning / Organization -- Handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegation, project oversight, and resource allocation.

Moderate overnight travel (up to 25%) by land and/or air.
