JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for utilizing visual imagery and text to communicate ideas and to promote the message of our businesses within the Southwestern Family of Companies. This position must possess a strong understanding of web design, layout design, user experience and marketing technology. The Senior Graphic Designer works in close collaboration with the marketing team and gathers requirements from stakeholders to deliver the creative assets required with the excellence that is expected. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and provides excellent customer service to team members and customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create web design, graphic design, and layout design
  • Create and maintain visual brand standards
  • Create engaging product design experiences
  • Design engaging email and social media imagery to hit business goals
  • Develop thorough knowledge of the business services and products in order to provide design elements in alignment with positioning, messaging and branding
  • Develop mood boards, creative briefs, and other assets as required to instruct design direction
  • Analyze user behavior to enhance user experience
  • Design marketing and sales enablement assets such as newsletters, presentations, white papers, flyers, landing pages, signage, and swag-for both digital and print materials as appropriate.
  • Ability to translate requirements into design for scope of project and creative needs by proactively seeking critical information and gathering work requirements from marketing team and other stakeholders
  • Lead any resources hired to provide design, video, and photography to ensure the desired results and adherence to brand standards
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to meet deadlines, prioritize work, and establish the ROI of design activities
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas for approvals
  • Clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices and amend designs based on feedback
  • Proactively search for solutions to business problems through design and user experience
  • Interact with external printers and vendors to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables meet or exceed company standards
  • Review final productions for errors and ensure that final deliverables meet or exceed company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years of experience in Graphic Design, Design, Marketing or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Wordpress
  • Experience with Html/CSS a plus
  • Experience with Adobe XD or Figma a plus
  • Experience with Articulate Rise 360 a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while accomplishing daily tasks
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, critical thinker and problem-solving skills
