Position Summary

In this exciting analytics role, you will be responsible for supporting the expansion of nVent's use of data and information and a transformation leader in pricing analytics for our Enclosures business. Working with cross functional leaders, you will transform data and business analytics into solutions that provide actionable insights that drive business growth, customer insights as well as cost savings opportunities that will strengthen our P&Ls.

You will also oversee and direct price management optimization tool implementation.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within business segment to recommend pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive global dynamics.

  • Develop price and price realization forecasting models to understand impact of pricing changes on revenue

  • Lead the pricing team in data analytics, including target price guidance logic, data-driven recommendation of DOA thresholds, regional price variability recommendations, competitive indexing, ship-and-debit claims impact analytic, price waterfall model and cost-to-serve analysis

  • Perform product and customer profitability analytics

  • Lead development of standard pricing dashboards and reports that meets cross-function global key stakeholders

  • Monitor price performance metrics and perform periodic price analysis for product lines, region, customers

  • Support the pricing operations team with analytics and tools for pricing process efficiencies

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to obtain technical and cost data for development of price analysis.

  • Understand price impact to P&L

  • Respond to ad hoc data analysis requests.

  • Communicate, in writing and in presentations, plans and results of complex projects and programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or Economics. MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data in pricing, sales, finance, marketing area

  • Knowledge performing competitive analysis, price volume mix analysis, machine learning and AI algorithms.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and negotiate solutions

  • Proven skill in analytical and quantitative problem solving, systems savvy

  • Must have strong mathematical skills and the ability find answers to business questions in large data sets

  • Excellent computer skills, including ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office application and R studios.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the electrical industry

  • Experience with dashboarding software such as Tableau or Groovy

  • Experience with SAP and/or JDE

  • Experience with Price f(x)

This person will participate in Global projects initiatives, support strategic ERP conversions, business continuous improvements as well as sustain IT projects. Key Role Responsibilities * Manages, designs, configures, implements and support various business processes in Materials Management and Logistics Execution processes in SAP. * Manages, designs, configures, implements, maintains and supports complex Warehouse Management requirements in SAP. * Manages, designs, configures, implements, maintains and supports complex inbound, outbound, shipping, transportation, carrier integration and other related requirements in SAP. * Manages, designs, configures, implements, maintains and supports complex external and interco Procurement, inventory management, MRP, reporting, Valuation, LIV and other related requirements in SAP. * Manages, implements and support business process improvements and enhancements for various sites on SAP with team members who are situated globally. * Works closely with business users and management in understanding business requirements. * Actively involved in implementing/rolling out SAP to new sites in our business. * Provides specifications to developers, test new developments and implements new functionality. * Manages work assigned to offshore functional, development and basis team to complete various projects assigned. * Prepares end user documentation, business process flows, business process procedures and related documents. * Coordinates and provides training to the users.
