In this exciting analytics role, you will be responsible for supporting the expansion of nVent's use of data and information and a transformation leader in pricing analytics for our Enclosures business. Working with cross functional leaders, you will transform data and business analytics into solutions that provide actionable insights that drive business growth, customer insights as well as cost savings opportunities that will strengthen our P&Ls.
You will also oversee and direct price management optimization tool implementation.
Key Role Responsibilities
Collaborate within business segment to recommend pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive global dynamics.
Develop price and price realization forecasting models to understand impact of pricing changes on revenue
Lead the pricing team in data analytics, including target price guidance logic, data-driven recommendation of DOA thresholds, regional price variability recommendations, competitive indexing, ship-and-debit claims impact analytic, price waterfall model and cost-to-serve analysis
Perform product and customer profitability analytics
Lead development of standard pricing dashboards and reports that meets cross-function global key stakeholders
Monitor price performance metrics and perform periodic price analysis for product lines, region, customers
Support the pricing operations team with analytics and tools for pricing process efficiencies
Collaborate cross-functionally to obtain technical and cost data for development of price analysis.
Understand price impact to P&L
Respond to ad hoc data analysis requests.
Communicate, in writing and in presentations, plans and results of complex projects and programs.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or Economics. MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience analyzing data in pricing, sales, finance, marketing area
Knowledge performing competitive analysis, price volume mix analysis, machine learning and AI algorithms.
Ability to facilitate meetings and negotiate solutions
Proven skill in analytical and quantitative problem solving, systems savvy
Must have strong mathematical skills and the ability find answers to business questions in large data sets
Excellent computer skills, including ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office application and R studios.
Experience in the electrical industry
Experience with dashboarding software such as Tableau or Groovy
Experience with SAP and/or JDE
Experience with Price f(x)
