Stanford Hotels Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior G/L Accountant to join their team!

The Senior G/L Accountant is a member of the accounting team whose primary responsibility is the monthly close activities and supporting the consolidation and reporting processes. The successful candidate should have the experience to be able to close the G/L for any entity, consolidate the entities' financial statements and support other accounting/reporting projects. The Senior G/L Accountant will report to the Director of Corporate Accounting. This is a full time position.


  • Record daily cash activity and weekly/monthly entries for the month end close in Great Plains and Wells Fargo online.

  • Monthly consolidation currently in Excel, later in ERP or reporting application

  • Review for accuracy the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements. Prepare adjusting journal entries for review/approval.

  • Work with auditors and respond to auditor inquiries for financial statements and for tax matters



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • 5+ years accounting experience including general ledger close and consolidations, showing ability to meet assigned deadlines

  • Strong organizational skill and attention to detail in preparing schedules including reconciliations

  • Proactive learner, enjoys solving problems, takes ownership

  • Excellent Excel experience, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 or similar ERP. We use GP and MRI.

  • Prior corporate accounting experience closing multiple entities

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction from manager


  • Hotel or commercial property accounting experience is a plus
  • FRX, Management Reporter experience is a plus
