We are currently seeking a Sr. Geospatial Analyst located in Herndon, VA to support an Intelligence Community customer.

Manage and direct activities in aspects of GEOINT Machine Learning within the Intelligence Community and military services. Coordinate and participate in the strategic, planning, development, implementation, monitoring and supervising services and employees. Provide Geospatial expertise to the customer and other employees.

Required:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI Polygraph.

  • Requires 4 or more years of GIS or related experience

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS or related field. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community Missions

  • Demonstrated experience effectively working and communicating with teammates, mission partners, or senior leadership, through demonstration of GEOINT techniques, methodologies, concepts, or processes

  • Demonstrated experience with using a variety of geospatial analysis software suites to accomplish the mission at an expert-level of mastery

  • Demonstrated relevant experience with statistical/mathematical analysis applied to GEOINT

  • Sound judgment, creative problem solving and independent working skills

  • Flexibility in assisting with ad hoc tasks and in adjusting as tasks are re-prioritized

  • Ability to mentor and guide junior analysts

  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Actively collaborates with colleagues to solve mission problems faster, eliminate hurdles, and create better products;

  • Ability to travel to Maxar facilities and other client site locations within the Washington D.C. region to support team and customer meetings

Desired:

  • Demonstrated experience conducting open source data collection, evaluation and dissemination

  • Demonstrated experience using geospatial technologies (ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience using DoD/IC databases and tools

  • Demonstrated experience developing and sustaining inter-organizational mission partnerships or relationships across the Intelligence Community and/or DOD

  • Expertise extracting Geospatial features from imagery

  • Experience with machine learning and computer vision

  • Experience working on-site supporting a government client
