Duties and responsibilities Deep understanding with functional safety standard ISO 26262.
Work cross-functionally with software, hardware and system engineers.
Define functional safety and technical safety requirements.
Develop safety plan including safety related processes and workflow.
Support system architectures and interfaces definition.
Direct the intelligent driving team to conduct Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment and DFMEA analysis.
Conduct ASIL determination of safety goals and decomposition strategy.
Lead functional safety process review.
Education Requirements Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Systems, Computer, or Software Engineering required.
Masters degree preferred.
5 + years of working at Tier 1 or 2 supplier or OEM applying ISO 26262 and experience in its practical application in product development.
Preferred Skills Familiarity with AD/ADAS functions at different levels.
Experiences with embedded system.
Experiences with requirement management tools.
(JAMA or DOORS or Polarion) Knowledge of C/C++ programming.
Knowledge in automotive communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet.
Strong communication skills.

As a member on this team, you will work on cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technologies with leaders in AI / deep learning, computer vision, path planning and vehicle control. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining autonomous vehicle software, and specifically software that performs high level state and data exchange management of path planning, vehicle control and actuation modules, as well as online risk estimation for controlling vehicle dynamic behavior and decision-making. You should have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Experience with ADAS functions, automotive functional safety, in-vehicle network and autonomous vehicles are highly valued. What you'll be doing: * Develop logic for a high-level management layer specifically built for interacting with path planning, vehicle control and actuation modules * Design risk estimation methods that utilize wide variety of information (vehicle state estimation, perception confidence, etc.) for purpose of managing planning/control state and functionalities * Work closely with system engineering team and support the development of overall system state management * Collaborate with different stakeholders (functional safety, path planning and control engineers) to define degraded modes of operation and implement necessary logic in planning/control sub-system * Design and implement unit and system tests for new logic, test software both in the vehicle and in simulation * Be able to complement to the existing capacities of the group to find optimal overall solution What we need to see: * You have a Masters Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields with 5+ years of experience * Ability to craft software architecture design based on functional, safety and performance requirements * Knowledge of high-level algorithm design and software prototyping for risk estimation * A self starter with the capability to understand and analyze complex systems, design new features and modules that can be integrated and perform well as part of a large system * Knowledge and hands-on experience in developing software using C++ for real-time embedded system Ways to stand out from the crowd: * Experience with autonomous vehicle or advanced driver assist system development such as lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, etc. * Experience with automotive safety concept, failure mode, common analysis tools such as FMEA * Hands on experience with vehicle safety critical systems such powertrain, steering system, brake system, etc. * Always striving to learn new things and like solving hard problems * Experience in deep learning and neural network * 2+ years engineering experience at automotive OE or tier-1 supplier Academic and commercial groups around the world are powering a revolution in artificial intelligence using deep learning techniques running on NVIDIA GPUs, enabling breakthroughs in problems from image classification to speech recognition to natural language processing.
