Were looking for an engineer to help us build our patient and doctor facing software that will enable us to collect more timely data for population level studies.


We'd like candidates with several of the following (or just a few, with a desire to learn quickly!):

  • A strong desire to advance healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
  • Full stack web development experience with an emphasis on modern frontend frameworks like React
  • Interest in making great frontend User Experiences
  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
  • Good technical judgement, knowing how and when to balance short term deliverables with long term investment.
  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Interest in working with large scale data pipelines.
  • Basic working knowledge of building software in AWS.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment with continuous delivery.
  • Healthcare and/or life science experience.

Job Description This position is part of our John Hancock Technology team. Job Duties: * Work with advisory team to develop comprehensive enterprise level security solution; and develop detailed roadmaps that illustrate phased approach to executing strategy; * Stay abreast of latest information and application security trends including new and emerging threats and vulnerabilities; * Define reference security architecture at divisional level; * Gather requirements specific to applications and provide solution architecture to integrate with security platform; * Interact with divisional and global IRM team to assist with defining IAM standards and guidelines; * Serve as an internal information security advisor and subject matter expert to organization and on various projects, ensuring that common architecture decisions are implemented consistently across business; * Work closely with business unit development teams and vendors to analyze applications and infrastructure, and accelerate IAM integration efforts; * Define tactical and strategic approaches to decrease implementation efforts and reduce time to market; * Lead team of engineers to deliver implementation of solution architecture and automate implementation, administration and support activities; * Develop secure and scalable design patterns that enable on-boarding of web, mobile and desktop applications to IBM security platform; * Provide guidance to security platform and application teams in assessing reports and mitigating risks; and * Understand audit and compliance requirements. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field and 5 years of experience in a consulting role including negotiating and building relationships. Experience must include: * 5 years of experience in developing enterprise level solutions; * 5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementation; * 5 years of experience with IBM Identity and Access Management products (ISAM, TAM, ISIM, ISDI, ISDS and IBM WebSphere); * 4 years of experience with designing and integrating cloud based applications (Azure, AWS, Salesforce) with security platform; * 5 years of experience with protocols underpinning web (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, BGP, cyber security concepts covering network) through application layers; * 5 years of experience with Windows, Mac and/or Linux platforms; * 5 years of experience with Java programming language; * 5 years of experience with Databases, Middleware and Application Server; * 5 years of experience with penetration testing and vulnerability scanning tools; * 5 years of experience designing and deploying end user web access and control infrastructure; * 5 years of experience securing mobile applications; * 5 years of experience with virtual and cloud environments and various security protocols; * 5 years of experience with scripting using JavaScript, Perl, Python and Powershell; * 5 years of experience with security industry standards and best practices including NIST, CSA and CIS; * 5 years of experience with Identity As A Service, SOA and API development and management concepts; * 5 years of experience with security platforms, Proxy, End Point Protection, Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Prevention, Vulnerability Scanning, File Integrity Management and IAM Solutions; * 5 years of experience with enterprise infrastructure components (DNS, AD, Radius, Kerberos and PKI Management); * 5 years of experience navigating multiple complex systems simultaneously to respond to client inquiries.
