This is a full-time salaried on-site position in Charlotte, NC. No remote candidates, recruiters, off-shore companies, or freelance/part-time applicants will be considered.

Who You Are

An experienced Web Developer looking for a company that values clean, scalable, secure web sites using modern technologies. You have a strong experience with object-oriented programming, client side, server side, and you seek to apply it at a company that is high on collaboration and innovation, and low on egos. If you live for taking a concept and figuring out how to bring it to life by building, coding and optimizing, then this is the perfect position for you.

What You Need

  • At least 5 years experience as a full-stack developer
  • At least 5 years experience with high-traffic consumer facing websites and eCommerce
  • Strong knowledge of both client and server side development
  • Fluency with modern PHP or other server side programming languages
  • HTML, CSS and experience with JavaScript
  • Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL)
  • Experience using a source control management system (Bitbucket preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with web technologies, web standards & protocols, and web servers
  • Strong ability in AWS and Docker
  • Hands-on working experience using RESTful API development
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the full-stack development life cycle
  • Broad knowledge of the general web development landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or equivalent experience
  • Experience with agile methods a plus
  • Be highly organized, with the ability to switch tasks based on priority and work under tight timelines

Requirements

  • Translate business requirements into easily maintainable and highly reusable modern designs
  • Work closely with other developers, project managers, database administrators and QA as you apply industry best practices and your creativity to build and maintain client facing and internal web services
  • Proactive; identifying opportunities for process improvements/efficiencies while driving the adoption of high priority/high value projects within the team
  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
  • Self motivation and team spirit - An ability to take initiative and solve problems without direction from others is crucial. At the same time, we value and appreciate the opportunity to work with each other as a team
