VIEW JOBS 6/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-09-05T00:00 We are a 200+ person team funded by top-tier firms, based in Santa Monica, CA with satellite offices in San Francisco. We are a low-key but tight-knit group of hard-working people working to fix America's broken healthcare system. Americans spend over $400 billion per year on prescriptions and too many people simply can't afford the medications they desperately need. Join GoodRx and help us solve meaningful problems that help us make people's lives better every day. About the Role You work where design meets code. You know HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript like the back of your hand. You are passionate about experimentation, innovation, and playing around with the latest front-end technologies. You write clean, compatible, powerful user interfaces with speed and you have a passion for understanding your audience and dreaming up ways to build great technological futures for them. Our engineers are involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle from the initial idea through prototyping and shipping the final product. Our work always starts in the same place: does this improve the patient's experience? It's important to us we create an environment where everyone feels comfortable to voice their thoughts and ideas. If this excites you, then come help us move the needle in American healthcare. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products * Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications * Write clean, fast, compatible, easy-to-use, testable Javascript to realize our ideas * Maintain our UI framework to help us create rich applications to interact with our data—code, widgets, and all—and help us identify and document its emergent rules * Promote a culture of operational excellence by meticulously testing and monitoring our systems and code, writing documentation, and being on-call to support the health of our services (and our patients). * Uphold a culture of collaboration, transparency, creativity, inclusion, and data-driven decisions. * Skills & Qualifications: * 3+ years of real product experience - you have shipped products used by hundreds of thousands or millions of users. * Experience with our tech stack — React/Redux, ES6, Webpack, Babel, Jest * You want to work on software that is changing the world and you're passionate (and obsessed) about creating intuitive, scalable products. * Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals - you may work closely with doctors and other non-technical folks to get things done. Collaboration is key. * You take pride in your ability to understand a problem space before designing solutions and will surface technical and product limitations earlier rather than later. * High degree of fluency in JavaScript - you are a strong coder and know how to write clean, effective code at scale (see the first two bullet points). * You like moving fast but write tests and share context to constantly push application quality and reliability up and to the right. Extra Credit: * Experience with HIPAA, PCI, or other high security coding environments. * Experience with automatic building/deployment services like Jenkins, Fastlane etc. * Open source contributions. About GoodRx GoodRx is America's leading prescription price transparency platform. More than 8 million people use the GoodRx website and our mobile apps each month. GoodRx helps consumers save up to 80% on their medications by delivering prices and available discounts at nearly every pharmacy in the U.S. Thousands of physicians and employees use GoodRx, and its services have been positively reviewed by Good Morning America, the American Heart Association, The New York Times, ABC News, AARP, Forbes and many others.
