What you will be doing:

Manages employees and the quantitative/qualitative analysis required for the budgeting and financial planning of the company. Analyzes key performance measures in order to establish/monitor individual center/school and overall company performance. Broad responsibility encompassing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, divisional analysis and reporting.

  • Develop the annual budget plan

  • Develop & analyze annual budgets, including developing and maintaining relevant center financial & operation matrixes, both directly and through supervision of other analysts.

  • Assist in meeting the overall objectives of the corporate budget process in addition to divisional budgeting.

  • Participate in the Domestic consolidation process. Identify & analyze trends and produce final reports.

  • Perform periodic quantitative and qualitative analysis required for the budgeting and financial planning of the company; evaluate results against goals and completeness of proposed budgets.

  • Communicate with senior management, operations and corporate clients regarding information used to formulate budgets or related financial analyses.

  • Integrate budget goals for individual centers and the overall company with finance and the accounting team in order to analyze actual results and identify any issues.

  • Assess the quality of the individual center budgets and forecasts and ensure accuracy.

  • Responsible for clients with more complex financial demands.

  • Work with DVP and Regional managers on monthly basis to

  • Analyze actual center/school performance and the impact of certain key financial variables

  • Analyze key performance measures in order to establish/monitor individual center/school and overall company performance

  • Contribute with both qualitative and quantitative analysis

  • Proactively monitor center/school performance and identify issues with the operations organization and the internal finance team

  • Recommend cost savings or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies

  • Participate in monthly financial calls

  • Contribute to resolution of key financial performance issues

  • Provide senior management with regional and divisional financial analysis and forecasting reports

  • Provide rolling forecast of centers monthly with a formal forecast report delivered quarterly

  • Evaluate current operating trends in order to project future performance. Utilize Hyperion / Essbase historical data to explain current and forecast results

  • Quantify and explain significant changes in performance

  • Supervise financial analysts and provide evaluation and direct review of work

  • Assume primary responsibility for training, guidance, annual review and career planning

  • Manage projects that directly impact e-team objectives or overall objectives of the department in increasing efficiency, functionality, or quality of end products that help the field operations teams manage the center/company

  • Participate in budget & forecasting system maintenance and updates

  • Ad-hoc projects

Advises finance management, directors/principals, regional managers, and divisional vice presidents regarding center/school financial performance measures. Also, demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; serves as business partner to provide analysis to the divisional operations managers; and manages responsibilities and the career development of the financial analyst position.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

Master's Degree in MBA or MBA candidate is preferred.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, prior supervisory experience a plus.

  • Must be proficient in Excel. Experience with a budget tool.

  • PeopleSoft, Hyperion Planning and Essbase experience a plus.

  • Management experience a plus.

  • Excellent analytical skills, proven leadership ability, and strong computer expertise.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and problem solving skills.

  • Results oriented professional with solid record of contributions through improved departmental procedures.
