The Opportunity | Senior Foreign Exchange Analyst

This position is responsible for the global foreign exchange function for the Corporation. The position also has other Treasury related responsibilities.

Your Challenge:

Foreign Exchange

  • Collect, organize and evaluate the CW business unit foreign currency B/S values to determine the company's exposure to transactional FX risk. Deliver analysis reports to measure the effectiveness of the hedging program. Assess and deliver analysis on F/X movement versus bank forecasts. Confirm hedge contracts with our counterparties and maintain documentation for auditing purposes and our own internal records. Look for ways to improve the hedging system and analysis. Create comprehensive training manual to help facilitate completion by another team member. Prepare ad-hoc analysis for Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer. Manage and review monthly FX intercompany settlements

Risk Management

  • Obtain property values and sales projections for insurance renewals from CW business units and prepare spreadsheets to deliver to our insurance brokers. Respond to business unit inquiries and make revisions to the policies as needed. Administer CW's auto policy, L/C and surety bond program. Serve as CW treasury liaison to audit teams and ensures we comply with all terms for material subs calculation in revolver and senior notes.

Cash Management

  • Responsible for releasing wires from Mellon, Wells Fargo, BOA, etc. and user maintenance requests. Serve as backup to cash manager and Treasury Analyst. Suggest ways to improve current processes, reduce risk and costs where possible.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

  • 4 to 6 years' experience in an FX related function is preferable

  • Sound knowledge of accounting particularly the balance sheet is a requirement

  • MBA is a plus

  • Certified Financial Professional Designation (CFP) is an asset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Self-starter

  • Excellent communication/customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently
