About This Role:

Forrester is currently seeking an experienced Senior Forecast Analyst who serves eBusiness channel strategy and technology professionals. The Senior Forecast Analyst is responsible for building market-level forecasts for various business segments and technology platforms. These forecasts are intended to give clients clear, analytical ways to think about upcoming changes in their sectors. Areas of focus are diverse and include eCommerce spending and online, mobile, and emerging retail consumer technologies, among others.

The Senior Forecast Analyst will use a variety of quantitative methods in modeling the future, including close examination of analogous markets, consumer surveys, and interviews with business executives; analysis of company financial statements and filings; scorecard analysis of market drivers and inhibitors; complex market segmentation analysis; and analysis of historical trends. The Senior Forecast Analyst is responsible for designing and developing market models, conducting extensive industry research, managing the process of building consensus among Forrester's research teams, and communicating research findings to clients and the press. In addition, this candidate will work closely with sales to support syndicated sales of the forecasts and scope out custom forecast opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have worked as a management consultant, a financial analyst, or in a position conducting business and strategic analysis relating to retail consumer technology. This person should be familiar with leveraging consumer survey data and its use in developing strategic insights. The candidate should understand how to develop forecasts and analyze business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Forrester research teams in providing modeling analyses that support and drive research products.

  • Oversee advanced modeling in various topical areas, including usage and revenue forecast models for internet business segments, cost structure studies, and financial analyses.

  • Interview marketing and strategy executives at retail, technology, and professional services companies.

  • Provide telephone and email inquiry responses to queries placed by Forrester's clients.Present at Forrester-sponsored conferences, briefings, and webinars.

Qualifications

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills; ability to synthesize divergent perspectives and offer intellectual leadership in building broad frameworks to solve business problems.

  • Experience with or demonstrated ability to quickly master the design principles underlying market forecasts.

  • Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Understanding of consumer survey data and its limitations and usage.

  • Affinity to work with sales and to support them with client development.

  • Outstanding productivity and leadership; the desire and ability to drive product development.

  • Strong motivation and creativity; the ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Sharp attention to detail; high personal standards for quality and thoroughness.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Five to seven years of related experience, such as forecast analysis, management consulting, financial analysis, or business analysis, working broadly in the field of information technology, software, and services.

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities include: * Reviewing requests for proposals and client questionnaires and creating sophisticated written responses related to the company's compliance practices; * Reviewing sales and marketing literature and associated disclosures for compliance with the Advisers Act, FINRA, CFTC/NFA rules and any non-U.S. requirements as applicable; * Reviewing performance and other related presentations, verifying the accuracy of information and ensuring compliance with GIPS and SEC performance presentation standards; * Keeping abreast of changes in regulatory requirements as it pertains to communications with prospective investors/clients; * Maintaining the books and records of compliance approved marketing material; * Interacting and communicating with internal departments such as Legal, Client Relations, Corporate Communications, Corporate Development, Accounting, and investment teams as well as external parties such as outside counsel and compliance consultants; and * Performing various other tasks and projects as necessary. Qualifications * 5-7 years compliance experience within the financial services industry, large degree of exposure to investment adviser and broker-dealer marketing review compliance practices is required; * Strong knowledge of fixed income products, alternative investment asset classes and financial markets in general as well as structure of products such as private non-registered limited partnerships and other commingled vehicles, 40-Act mutual funds and separately managed accounts; * Strong knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and FINRA rules governing marketing of advisory services and products; * Excellent understanding of compliance issues related to marketing products and advisory services in the U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions; * Preference for experience with requirements for content on social media platforms and public company/corporate communications; * Exceptional editing and writing skills; * Proven capability in analyzing complex data, evaluating information and drawing logical conclusions; * Proven ability in arriving at solutions that meet business needs and at the same time are compliant with requlatory requirements; * Track record in planning and project management and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting deadlines; * A Series 7 and 24 will be required; and * Proficient in Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, Outlook and other business software.
