The primary function of this position is to develop and implement new and enhanced lighting control products and work with manufacturing to bring these products to market.
Responsible for firmware development for lighting control new product design.
Responsible for firmware modifications to existing products.
Actively participate in cross-functional design teams to deliver new or redesigned products.
Responsible for evaluating and making design recommendations regarding Lighting Control products.
Responsible for evaluating and making recommendations regarding new electronic components and technologies that have the potential to be implemented into new products.
Responsible for creating firmware specifications and validation plans.
Support the product manufacturing group(s).
Embedded C Programming (3+ years).
Ability to read and follow schematics.
Must work well independently and in a team environment, be detail oriented, thorough in investigation, and produce robust solutions.
Demonstrated ability to devise novel technical solutions, lateral thinking (applying known solutions to new problems in related fields), willingness to challenge existing practice (technical, testing, manufacturing), willingness to add new functionalities to existing products or to start entire new product categories
Excellent debugging skills.
IP research and analysis
5 years of direct experience in Lighting Controls .
Previous experience and use of RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems).
