We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Management Consultant to join our team supporting the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Washington, D.C.
What you'll do:
The Senior Financial Management Consultant will provide business financial management (BFM) support to a Navy shipbuilding program office.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead for a team providing BFM and cost estimating support to a Navy shipbuilding program office
Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements and financial analyses required to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program
Ensure all teams have access to the proper financial databases and programs, as well as training for using all necessary financial systems
Ensure all personnel are properly trained and knowledgeable in DoD/DoN/NAVSEA financial related rules, regulations, policies and guidelines
Ensure the delivery of high quality and accurate products to the Government.
Assist in the development of programs' financial briefings and reports, including analyses of programs' financial health and affordability
Assist the Government in the generation of metrics and trend analysis
Attend meetings and provide client support onsite/in person when required
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in financial management for ACAT 1 Navy shipbuilding programs
Expert knowledge of Navy financial management systems including NEPS and NERP
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to identify and track requirements
Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral channels
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Active DOD SECRET security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline from an institution accredited in the United States
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
