The Sr, Financial Intelligence Data/System Analyst is responsible for developing and executing a data analytics process within the Alliance Data Financial Intelligence Unit. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a knowledge of using bank transaction systems and an enterprise data warehousing to create inventive and creative reporting. The associate will also work as a back-up to a systems engineer; with primary tasks being day-to-day system administration of the Actimize System.
This individual is accountable for managing data for critical financial crimes monitoring systems and creating useful reporting from system-derived data.

Essential Job Functions
1.The ability to use common statistical tools (R, SAS, SQL, Excel) to categorize identify and use data sets in large data populations and warehouses to fulfill business needs
2.Creative ability to design effective reports to provide management insight.
3.Support Internal Audits and FDIC Examiners via requested Reports of Information.
4.Data Mapping work with other departments to understand their data and map it to Actimize Database/Tables
Operations and Support
5.Demonstrated ability to work basic system administration functions as defined by the systems engineer.
6.Perform system monitoring by working with IT Support group(s).
7.Perform data integrity monitoring.
8.Review new internal project scopes to determine impact to Actimize System.
9.System Administration Functions: Create, change, and delete user sign-on per request. Maintain and Create Roles and Responsibilities within Actimize.
10. Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
Bachelor's degree in statistics, information technology or similar fields. OR related education and/or work experience.
3-5 years of experience in data gathering and analysis with some practical experience in system administration.
Experience in managing databases for BSA/AML transaction monitoring systems.
Demonstrated expertise in the use of SAS, SQL and Java.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ability to resolve complex data management and reporting challenges and create impactful visual reports
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements
Normal office environment, some travel may be required.
