Life at U.S. Venture
This position will be responsible for calculation, verification and allocation of supplier rebates both for current and future state ERP systems. Key skills include strong business acumen to understand business processes as well as strong excel, accounting and math skills to ensure proper calculation, recognition and tracking of supplier rebates.
The Senior Financial Analyst will also be responsible for calculating accruals, reconciling and analyzing various balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and implementing new pronouncements. The position will be assigned a designated group of warehouses and will be responsible for working with both sales and warehouse managers to analyze sales and margin, review expenses and identify areas for improvement. The position will also be responsible for preparing the corporate monthly financial statement package and will participate in both the annual budget process as well as the annual audit.
Vendor Rebates: Vendor Rebates are critical to the AutoForce business. This position will be responsible for all the accounting of vendor rebates both in the current ERP system (IBS) and the new system (project Helix - Microsoft D365)
Month End Close: Month end duties as assigned including uploads, accruals, expense analysis, reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with proper GAAP reporting. Assist with implementation of new pronouncements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare various financial reports including but not limited to monthly corporate financial reporting package and warehouse reporting packages.
Assist with operational reporting as needed. Develop MR reports.
Analytics: Expert skills in extracting and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. Use data cube and Power BI to analyze data and develop dashboards.
Budget: Assist with yearly forecast and budgeting process
Audit: Vendor Rebate audit lead.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience
Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and data
Ability to effectively work as part of a fast-paced and highly motivated team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
