We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will support Global Real Estate and Special Projects Finance by delivering data-driven and actionable insights about our stores / formats, customers, competitors, channels and strategic initiatives to help optimize our business in an omnichannel retail environment. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and absurdly curious, with strong analytical and modelling skills rounded with partnering abilities.
Identify key business drivers in complex situations Involving multivariate analysis. Consider and explore multiple hypotheses to explain data relationships and trends
Forecast using a combination of quantitative techniques, time series analyses / projections, and causal models to predict sales / trip impacts based on available data
Explain complex modeling approaches in simple terms; develop compelling narratives that connect modeling results with finance problems
Carry model results through financial analysis to provide guidance on how to best optimize business
Leverage analytic capabilities available through third party vendors
Provide ad-hoc analysis and other duties as requested
Bachelors degree in statistics, finance, economics or other quantitative discipline
3-5 years professional experience in analytics, finance or related fields
Experience with advanced analytical techniques, including time series forecasting, clustering, and machine learning (classification and regression)
Self-directed, innovative thinker who is never bored but finds work
Strong candidates will have a curious mind and a passion for synthesizing information from multiple sources
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite, with Alteryx experience a plus
Ability to present information in different forums and with all / multiple levels of leadership
Exceptional customer service attitude always responding "yes, and" and not "shouldn't someone else be doing that"
Comfortable in a decentralized structure where results are based on cooperation with and influence of others
Ability to maintain confidentiality
