About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to proactively manage the client finances, which includes in large part managing/guiding account teams. You will approach work with a sense of possibility and see challenges as opportunities for creative problem solving; take initiative to explore issues and find potential innovative solutions.

What You Will be Doing

  • Provide reporting regarding staffing, over-service, contribution, and other ad-hoc analyses with corresponding point of view on action items

  • Manage and own client budget tracking process, including ongoing enhancements based on evolving needs, distribution, and recommended course of action

  • Manage client billing process to ensure invoices are accurate, sent in a timely manner, and in accordance with client agreements

  • Assist project management and Account teams with percentage complete calculations and realization rates for revenue recognition and compliance, especially for Planned Period Revenue Recognition method

  • Review SOWs and pricing to ensure business terms are accurate and in accordance with client agreements

  • Help identify and mitigate risks

  • Review Job set up and revenue recognition methodology to ensure consistency and that best practices are being following based on the compensation models

  • Liaise with Revenue Controllers and Finance Directors as necessary to understand revenue being recorded and the impact of percentage complete calculations, deferrals, write-ups etc.

  • Ensure PCT's are being prepared, assist project managers, and account leads as necessary to prepare

  • Liaise with Collections Manager and support efforts around collections as necessary

  • Liaise with billing and account staff to implement best practices to diagnose and mitigate billing transfers

  • Serve as reliable and forward-thinking business analytics resource for local office and/or designated client accounts

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • At least 3-5 years of professional, relevant experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with finance and account staff

  • Advanced Office suite and Excel skills, including lookups, data visualization, and advanced formulas

  • Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions to senior account staff

  • Proficient with SAP, Business Warehouse and Hyperion or comparable platforms/tools

  • Comfortable working with large or complex data sets

  • Able to manage and mentor junior finance and account staff including sharing out best practices and new learnings

This role will be responsible for assisting with budgets and forecast processes, and reviews versus actual. Understand drivers of a profit and loss statement, and variance analysis across revenue, cost, and expense elements. Ad-hoc analysis and project work will also be a key aspect of the role, serving across field, product, and shared service functions within the organization. Furthermore, the role will be responsible to design, prepare, and present detailed analysis of business issues and recommended solutions to senior management. Responsibilities: * Assist with the preparation of forecasts and annual budgets processes. * Experience maintaining and improving short-term cash flow forecast. * Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting. * Analyze and interpret actual monthly and compared to budgets / forecasts and provide management with variance analysis, as well as identify risks and opportunities. * Prepare financial materials and coordinate monthly financial reviews with key stakeholders. * Support senior management in preparation of materials for board meetings * Provide financial support and analysis for strategic initiatives facing the organization. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Qualifications: Education & Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Finance. * 2-3 years of experience forecasting and analyzing revenue, cost and expense in a corporate environment. * Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Planning Software. * Knowledge of GAAP reporting. Position Requirements: * Operated in a consolidation function with experience partnering with various business units. * Understanding of metrics and margins to drive performance. * Executive communication and reporting exposure. * Strong MS Office Suite (Excel: pivot tables & Vlookups). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Financial statement reporting, budget and forecast. * Vena/Financial Force/Salesfroce - similar system experience a plus.
