SUMMARY: Thesenior analyst will drive the monthly close process, provide structure,consolidation and analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting. This person will also create presentations toexecutive management, and support various teams with analytical support. This person will support the monthly forecastand annual budget processes, along with other special projects.

JOBREQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent experience required

  • 3-5years of financial analysis experience

  • Experiencewith advanced data management, forecasting/budgeting and variance analysis

  • Experiencewith Microsoft Office Products, SQL Server, Essbase/Smart View, and Cognos ispreferred

  • Bankingexperience a plus

  • Strongorganizational and time-management skills

  • Strong written and oralcommunication skills; ability to effectively communicate in variousfunctions/disciplines

  • Abilityto work independently

  • Abilityto work well with all levels of the organization

  • Excellent knowledge ofcomputer applications and database management tools/processes used byaccounting and financial reporting departments

  • Occasionaltravel to company headquarters in Blairsville, GA

  • Participatein all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Launderingtraining, as well as internal and external training programs, online training,and seminars/ conferences, etc.

JOBFUNCTIONS:

  • Prepareand analyze monthly financial statements

  • Contributeto the forecast model, including monthly updates to assumptions related tobalance sheet growth, product yields, fee revenue and operating expenses

  • Supportthe DFAST process as needed

  • Monitor,analyze and report on monthly changes in net interest margin

  • Monitorloan and deposit origination volumes, structures, spreads and pricing

  • Analyzeoperating expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency

  • Providefinancial information and reporting for organizational units, including KPIs

  • Facilitateannual budget process for organizational units, including system support andcommunication of timelines and corporate assumptions

  • Supportother reporting and analysis needs of organizational units and management asneeded

  • Performother duties as assigned

Job Description The Financial Analyst II provides planning, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis support for assigned line(s) of business and/or at the total segment level under the guidance of financial management. Complete executions for Call Reporting and FRY 14 M & Q reporting on a regular basis ensuring the reporting is accurate and delivery is timely. Provide support to the line of business across traditional and non-traditional hours. May troubleshoot ad hoc issues from a technical perspective and escalate effectively for quick resolution. Conduct user administration tasks to provide, change and delete access while providing necessary user reporting. Technical knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting systems. May develop specialized analytical tools for project or ongoing use. Assists more experienced staff in and provides support for developing more complex analyses. May review results of assigned analyses with more experienced staff, assisting in the identification of unexpected results. Assists in the development of conclusions and courses of action to rectify discrepancies as well as analysis Qualifications Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below. 3-5 years related experience required. Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives. Computer literacy and proficiency in common desktop business applications. Experience with the operations of financial systems. Knowledge of regulatory rules and regulations. Most jobs require bachelor and graduate degrees, and/or professional certification, or comparable experience. This position does not have people management responsibilities.
