The Day to Day:

Financial Analysis:

  • Prepare financial analyses including valuation, pro forma merger scenarios, cash flow and liquidity analyses, returns analyses, and impact to Turner for acquisitions, investments and other ad hoc initiatives, through development of detailed financial and operating models

  • Regularly prepare detailed historical and projected models for Turner and its divisions to assess financial and operating performance

  • Understand the key drivers of Turner's business, and analyze and summarize the latest financial outlook for communication with executives

  • Assist in the development of business plans for new initiatives

  • Prepare cash flow/working capital forecasts for various projects

Competitive & Market Analysis:

  • Routinely analyze the financial outlook for Turner, as well as its domestic and international competitors

  • Track macroeconomic and competitive data in key international markets o Regularly summarize media industry trends and news

Deal Oversight and Coordination:

  • Manage the due diligence process for acquisitions and investments, including review and analysis of information received from target companies

  • Coordinate with Turner divisions and business units on transactions and business initiatives (including tax, accounting, legal, and investor relations)

Deal Pipeline Management/Tracking:

  • Maintain updated materials with the status of current deal pipeline

  • Regularly prepare financial analyses tracking the status of closed M&A deals and investments

Other:

  • Help draft board memos and presentations to senior management as part of transactions, strategic reviews, and budgeting processes

The Essentials:

  • BA/BS degree minimum, preferably in Finance, Engineering, Accounting or Economics

  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience including transaction modeling, research gathering, and due diligence support

  • At least 1-2 years investment banking, consulting or similar rigorous financial work experience strongly preferred

  • Superior analytical and modeling skills with sound knowledge of corporate finance and accounting

  • Understanding of valuation and corporate finance, including DCFs, comparable company, and returns analyses

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills as the position requires working in large deal teams with several work streams

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrable success of working well in teams as interaction and cooperation with many groups and functions across Turner is essential

  • Highly motivated with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Preference for a knowledge of and passion for entertainment and media

Profile Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the finance team with the management and financial reporting process of Voya Investment Management business. Duties include assisting with the timely and accurate reporting of revenues and Asset under Management, performing various asset management billing functions, developing annual budgets and monthly forecast, performing revenue and expense variance analysis and interfacing with finance and business colleagues in Voya Investment Management, and the insurance companies of Voya Financial, Inc. Profile Description: * Coordinate all aspects of financial planning (including budgets, monthly forecasts) in accordance with overall financial planning processes and timelines * Ensure accurate management reporting of revenue, expenses, and assets under management for the Fixed Income business * Assist with establishing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships with other reporting units in Voya Investment Management and Voya Financial, Inc. * Use the existing databases, tools and processes to perform inter-unit billing and assist with identifying efficiencies to streamline the inter-unit billing process * Responsible for posting revenue and expense journal entries, and performing various general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis * Perform variance analysis to support the corporate finance functions and assist with prompt response to on-going and ah-hoc requests for information * Assist with maintaining proper controls, and documentation of the financial accounting process * Develop and maintain knowledge of Voya Investment Management business practices and products * Develop Market Data Services budgets and monthly expense forecast, perform variance analysis, maintenance of vendor service system Knowledge & Experience: * 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience, with heavy emphasis on management reporting. Fixed Income product knowledge is preferred * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics.
