Ohio's Hospice is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team.
This candidate must be a critical thinker and capable of demonstrating that quality.
This is a FT exempt position M-F 8am-5pm.
Job Summary/Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst is the financial leader for 2 subsidiary business units that represent the primary growth platforms within Ohio's Hospice. The Senior Financial Analyst is the Business Partner of these subsidiaries and to assist them with evaluating the financial impact of new business opportunities, assessing feasibility, supporting contract negotiations, establishing appropriate financial reporting systems, assisting with monitoring healthcare claims management outcomes, and participating in the assessment and development of long-term goals and objectives for the business units. This includes gathering and analyzing data and documenting business processes and requirements. The Senior Financial Analyst utilizes industry and financial knowledge to analyze and evaluate existing enterprise operations and services to identify and make sound recommendations. Responsible for developing and maintaining business analytics and operational plans as assigned. Performs any additional complex tasks, special projects and large scope projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Three to five years of strategic and/or operational planning experience in the health care industry a plus.
Strong analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills. Advanced skill set using various analytical tools for market analysis, forecasting and conducting research projects as well as business case and financial pro forma development. Able to research and creatively adapt new analytical techniques to OHI business purposes.
Proven experience with business requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and data modeling using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers in support of long and short-term strategic plans.
Highly skilled in using business software applications including MS Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Skilled in preparing executive level presentations.
Experience in working with and analyzing large data sets and producing reports using system reporting tools. Detail oriented to ensure accuracy.
Ability to identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate trends and to construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans bases on business data and market knowledge.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines in order to operate in the fast paced, rapidly changing OHI environment.
