Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and actual results of the North American Automotive Business within STANLEY Engineering Fastening. This role will lead or support regular financial rhythms including month-end close, variance analysis and reporting, among other activities/projects of an ad-hoc nature. This role is focused on exceeding financial commitments in P&L profitability and Working Capital and offers regular interaction with leadership levels in the organization. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement and value-add in all aspects of deliverables and responsibilities. This position reports into the SEF (Stanley Engineered Fastening) NA Automotive Finance Lead.

Essential Job Functions

Leading, coordinating, influencing, or supporting FP&A deliverables including:

  • Support NA Auto Finance Leader priorities and deliverables in managing a $275M P&L.

  • Lead or support month-end close processes, including reporting, variance analysis, identifying headwinds & tailwinds and liaising with department leaders to mitigate risks to financial forecast and driving successful achievement of realizing opportunities

  • Support monthly SG&A reviews with cross-functional leaders to manage $45M+ SG&A (Selling, General & Administrative) expense structure, including providing insight into prior month actual results and driving accuracy in forward-looking commitments

  • Partner with HR function to manage headcount and C&B (compensation & benefits) in line with Forecast commitments

  • Build analytical tools for Sales expectations, SG&A efficiencies, etc.

  • Develop KPIs and performance metrics to drive cost management improvements

  • Manage HFM Daily Sales commitments

  • Manage Monthly Penetration reporting (transitioning from Commercial team to Finance)

  • Manage HFM Uploads for NA Finance (incl. Ops Finance)

  • Manage NA Auto HC and C&B reporting and forecasts

  • Annual Budget and Forecasting planning support, including upload to HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)

  • Partnering with broader Finance organization, including Group FP&A, Operations Finance, Controllership and General Accounting, to support processes and efficiencies and drive synergies

  • Guide and coach a Stanley Leadership Program (SLP) rotational associate, plus assign work/duties to meet objectives

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting required

  • Minimum 5 years professional work experience, preferably within the Automotive industry

  • FP&A month-end, forecasting, budgeting

  • Proficiency in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Strong communication, both verbal and written

  • Ability to multi-task and deliver under tight timelines

  • Cross-functional problem solving

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in an ERP system, JDE (JD Edwards) preferred
