PSI Pax, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our government customer in Patuxent River, MD
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as the on-site financial subject matter expert supporting the mission of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) - Comptroller Group's Accounting Department
Provide specialized reviews and analysis to support the continued evolution of DON Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) efforts to include standardized procedures, financial data analysis and system analysis of Navy ERP.
Provides guidance and analytical support to NAWCAD Comptroller authorities and representatives in response to data calls from DoD/Navy Comptroller and on financial matters related to cost accounting, billing, Outgoing Funding Document (OFD), Internal Entitlement, general asset, and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) support
Supports Business Process Improvement (BPI) by assisting with the review and analysis of process standards and organizational assessments
Provide analytical support to complete data calls from the Navy/Department of Defense Comptroller and other activities with diversified missions and requirements.
Provide support for the Cost Accounting Department; the Internal Entitlement Team, processing hardcopy and electronic invoices; the Unmatched Disbursements (UMD) Team, in researching and resolving errors and billing activities; the Contractual Services Team in processing obligating documents and accruals; the Contracts Team in processing obligating documents and accruals; the Travel Accounting Team, in travel related accounting transactions; the General Ledger Accounting Department; and the Fixed Asset Accounting Team in performing physical inventory of assets and providing inventory information.
Provides technical support, as needed, to meet mission critical requirements
Must have a Secret clearance
Must have at least ten (10) years of Financial Analysis experience
Must have experience with DoD funding requirements, policies, and regulations that govern appropriations law
Must have experience with Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF)
Ability to apply knowledge of financial systems, document as-is client business practices, and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to document, propose, and implement business process improvements
Ability to manage teams and mentor individuals to support client initiatives
Must work well independently; have the ability to interface with customers in senior/executive level positions
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Navy / NAVAIR experience is desired
Experience in the SAP Funds Management (FM), Financial (FI), and/or Controlling (CO) modules is desired
Master's degree and ten (10) years of experience or Bachelor's degree with fourteen (14) years of relevant work experience
