Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be responsible for providing support, analysis, & planning for our General Managers (GMs) and sales leaders to uncover new insights, increase efficiencies, and aide in providing strategic direction for overall operations. This will be a key position in the Business Intelligence (BI) group and will be responsible for producing accurate financial reporting, maintaining rolling forecasts/models, preparing monthly PowerPoint decks and overall presentation of results. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, have a natural curiosity to uncover new trends in large data sets, and will not be afraid to roll up their sleeves while working with various cross-functional teams to get things done.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain complex business models that accurately forecast future revenue and provide variance analysis between actuals, budget and prior periods

• Understand the Product Profit and Loss Statement (P&L) and explain variances to plan as well as recommendations to improve performance

• Aide in strategic business decision making through the development of timely financial reporting and presentations (PowerPoint), which provide detailed insights on trends

• Work closely with GMs of one or more business units by providing ongoing support for ad-hoc data analysis and business intelligence

• Provide the BI team with the necessary requirements to build complex BI business reports

• Support the integrity of Perforce's various databases and systems (CRM, etc.) through advising on gaps in data and providing recommendations to fill gaps where necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business (preferably accounting/finance) or mathematics, or equivalent job related experience.

• 2+ years of experience as an analyst role or higher.

• Prior experience working in a high growth software/tech environment is a plus, as is a working knowledge of various software business models (SaaS/on-premise, subscription/maintenance, etc.)

• Demonstrated background in presenting financial results to senior leadership as well as delivering/preparing presentations that clearly articulate results and meaningful insights

• Strong analytical, verbal, written, problem solving, and interpersonal skills

• Experience in documenting and improving existing systems and processes

• Budgeting experience is a plus

• Prior work with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms also a plus
