  • Serving as the direct Finance business partner to the North America Service Leader and their organization.

  • Improving overall short term and long term enterprise financial results (Revenue, Labor, Parts).

  • Providing support to Service Product management on cost & price per units and the corresponding activities to help find root cause to improve the efficiencies of instrumentation.

  • Supporting the culture of ongoing process improvement to help identify areas of excess capacities or waste.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, apply critical and creative skills, and aid the organization in finding and driving process improvement.

  • Strong communication skills while working with Service Leadership.

  • Developing/maintaining financial models for service related activities to analyze and support decision making for service resources and investments.

  • Preparation, submission, and variance explanations for internal financial forecast of Service Expenses and Service Parts.

  • Updating/tracking key initiatives and metrics.

  • Developing expertise on Service related general ledger activities and accounting entries.

  • Supporting the strategic planning process, as necessary.

  • The candidate will have the opportunity to develop within a growing organization through challenging assignments in a team environment. They will also have the ability to participate in special assignments designed to gather data and ultimately improve operational efficiencies.

  • The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical and communication skills, show strong financial systems knowledge and have the ability to work with a sense of focused urgency in a challenging and dynamic environment.

  • BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance required.

  • MBA and / or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus.

  • At least 3 5 years related experience.

  • Ability to interact with upper management and capability to present and explain financial data and analysis to both finance and non-finance audiences.

  • Strong research and analysis skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities

  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, and advanced level PC skills.

  • Familiarity with Oracle EBS and SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) a plus.

We are looking for an individual who has a demonstrated track record of success in providing analytical, creative, and meaningful insights to commercial organizations. As a sales operations team, we leverage our passion for analytics and our ability to turn data into meaningful insights to guide business strategy across Beckman Coulter. The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for the development of rigorous analytics-based market insights and business intelligence to measure commercial performance. As a member of the sales operations team, this role will be responsible for applying hands on, advanced, analytical techniques to a broad range of data assets to inform strategic planning, identification of opportunities and optimal resource allocation. The scope of this role, while varied, would be focused on description, predictive and prescriptive analytics related to market dynamics, sales opportunities, funnel management, revenue trends. This individual must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, and present well to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must. Responsibilities * Planning, Reporting & Analysis * Develop, implement, and maintain enhanced analytical tools & dashboards to help predict and analyze key financial metric performance to share with commercial leadership to influence decisions and drive commercial growth * Create and automate dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and data visualization that provide key business insights for assigned sales areas * Coordinate distribution of monthly sales financial reporting package and variance analysis for strategic accounts * Design, develop, and maintain dynamic financial and forecast reporting tools to increase accuracy and improve efficiency * Drive connection with finance team to ensure all sales & sales related metrics are reconciled across company scorecards and dashboards * Coordinate and document processes for internal financial reporting systems * Cooperate with Finance, Sales, and Marketing departments in the preparation of analyses * Prepare financial presentations in Excel and PowerPoint * Strategic Planning * Develop and drive analysis to identify, evaluate, and quantify risks and opportunities across all of Beckman Coulter's North American sales Areas * Develop benchmarking analyses and reports to assist in strategy development * Conduct special financial and business related studies * Design and review critical KPI's to drive change across the broader commercial organization * Translate day-to-day business practices into actionable information for Commercial leadership * Work with Senior Manager to present at regional and national sales meetings and new hire trainings to assist providing training on corporate and business practice policies. Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years previous experience working in a Sales & Marketing Analytics team or Sales Operation department is required (5+ years sales analysis experience) * Advanced skills in Microsoft products including Excel, Access, and SQL Server; exceptional analytical, research, and statistical skills including experience analyzing and manipulating large amounts of Sales, competitive, and transactional data. * Experience and knowledge with data modeling techniques in Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, and Excel VBA. * Experience in data acquisition techniques strongly preferred (e.g. R, Python, SQL). * Experience with using databases and reporting tools to automate Sales reporting through the use of visual reporting techniques (i.e. graphs and conditional formatting) * Experience in creating and automating dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, ad-hoc reports, and data visualization that provide key business insights * Bachelor's Degree required (Business/Accounting/Finance/Data Science focus preferred) * Experience working in a cross-functional environment and interacting with multiple departments * Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Critical thinker open to learning new ideas/skills; flexible and excited by a challenge * Demonstrated high level of strategic thinking and business acumen * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal * Natural bias toward action and a track record of anticipating management asks * Preferred skills – subject matter expert in ERP and CRM systems such as Oracle, OBIEE, and * Power BI or Tableau experience required.
