POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst maintains the monthly cost variance reports (Actuals vs Plan, Actual vs Forecast) and the companywide expense model and supports model enhancements and new builds. The Analyst supports the development, accumulation, and evaluation of key elements necessary to properly evaluate and organizational spend. This position works closely with peers across the organization and management partners to gather all relevant data required as part of day-to-day activities.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and enhance driver-based, auditable expense planning models and integrate these into operating practices of the Company, working closely with management in other business areas (including Sales, Operations, Marketing, Corporate Finance and Accounting).

  • Support the monthly Actual expense reporting process by analyzing, interpreting and communicating cost and expense variances.

  • Provide guidance to management on expense coding related to invoices, Concur, and journal entries.

  • Maintain recurring financial reports utilizing advanced financial modeling and rigorous analytics.

  • Support the monthly reporting processes while gathering required data and collaborating with management to determine and affirm assumptions and establish key benchmarks.

  • Collect, analyze and present financial information (including preparation of board of director presentations).

  • Provide transparency and ease of access to plan-to-actuals and forecast-to-actuals information.

  • Analyze trends in key performance indicators, and performance vs. peer and industry benchmarks, identify key business risks and opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization.

  • Champion best‐practices and assess process improvement opportunities that drive productivity.

  • Provide support and review of the Company's presentations to analysts and investors.

  • Maintain the Company's current Expense tool, Workday Adaptive Planning.

  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities, as needed.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field (accounting, finance, economics or other quantitative discipline) or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of financial modeling and related experience

  • Accounting/finance/valuation background; experience reading and interpreting financial statements. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or MBA a plus.

  • Advanced user in MS Excel including VBA macros and Excel Add-ins and proficient in PowerPoint, SQL experience a plus.

  • Ability to proactively gather and synthesize data from internal and/or external sources, and to guide the analysis of complex issues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and skilled in preparing effective presentations, with clear narrative and impactful graphics.

  • Ability to innovate and implement planning technology and tools as well as working knowledge of business intelligence solutions and experience developing reporting solutions.

  • Experience as a Finance business partner with an understanding of how managers use financial and operational information to make better business decisions.

  • Highly self-directed and curious with an enthusiastic approach to solving complex problems and attention to detail.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound business judgment

  • Organized and detail oriented with ability to manage financial processes and the capacity to implement control procedures while driving continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment while delivering on tight deadlines.

Salary Range: $77,000 - $98,000/year

  • Posted Salary Range applies to current posting and may change in the future. The posted Salary Range may vary for key factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and skill set. Benefit eligibility includes healthcare, life and disability insurance, 401(k), monthly allowance, 20 days of PTO, 10 paid Holidays, and bonus and equity potential.
