We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis team at nCino. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights, strategic analysis, and decision support to key stakeholders, while also leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and reporting.
Essential Functions:
Financial Planning and Analysis
Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling to support strategic initiatives.
Analyze financial performance and variances, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial projections for new product launches, marketing campaigns, and other business initiatives.
Create financial models to simulate various business scenarios and assess their potential outcomes
Financial Reporting
Prepare and deliver concise and visually appealing financial reports, dashboard, and presentations highlighting KPIs, financial forecasts, variances, and other department specific metrics.
Craft compelling narratives around the financial data, translating the numbers into strategic implications using accurate, relevant, and timely data.
Deliver presentations with confidence and clarity to engage executive leadership
Technology-Driven Financial Solutions
Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology tools and systems to streamline financial processes and reporting.
Implement and optimize financial planning software, reporting dashboards, and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial analysis.
Business Performance Metrics
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the financial health of the company and departmental performance.
Prepare and present regular financial reports and dashboards to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Cost Management and Efficiency
Monitor and analyze cost trends, providing insights into cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiency enhancements.
Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Investment Analysis and Capital Allocation:
Evaluate potential investment opportunities, conducting financial feasibility studies and ROI analysis.
Continuous Improvement
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and education
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst in the technology industry, preferably with exposure to SAAS companies.
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in financial software and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) to drive process efficiencies.
Familiarity with SAAS financial metrics and business models.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
