Senior Financial Analyst

Treasury/Finance Department - San Jose

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, maintaining routine finance and treasury functions, and assisting with ALM modeling and product profitability. The Senior Financial Analyst will also provide support for forecast projections and liquidity management. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will continue to seek for ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Treasury & ALM Duties:

  • Perform ALM modeling including monthly data compilation and uploading data to Profitstar ALM model while performing reconciliation and validation to ensure data integrity.

  • Perform quarterly ALM simulation and provide variance analysis and insight to prepare executive summary and reports presented to ALCO.

  • Perform and assist with the ALM Modeling of the balance sheet strategy.

  • Evaluate the impact of the strategies on the Net Interest Income and important Financial ratios.

Budgeting:

  • Play an active role in organizing and compiling the annual budget.

  • Collaborate with relevant department managers related to Operating Expenses and Fee Income.

  • Prepare corresponding budget reports,

  • Analyze budget reports and identify any significant changes year over year.

  • Make recommendations for improvements to budgeting process to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Reporting and Other Finance Duties:

  • Contribute to the delivery of internal reporting including the Board & ALCO Reports

  • Serve as a backup when needed for other members of the team to provide timely delivery of routine financial reporting.

  • Independently work on Ad Hoc Reporting and participate in Organization or Departmental Projects as needed.

Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

  • A bachelor's degree is required; concentration in accounting or finance is preferred.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, characteristics of financial assets and liabilities, and basic investment, ALM and Statistical analysis

  • Intermediate to advance level of knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel Access & PowerPoint), and data manipulation.

  • Financial services industry experience a plus. must be team oriented, quick learner with great analytical and communications skills.

  • Must be PC literate and have the ability to work with efficiently with peripheral equipment.

The Senior Financial Analyst position is a Grade 12.

  • Salary Range: $98,399.39 to $147,599.09
  • Target Range: $98,399.39 to $122,999.24*
  • The target range for entry in a new position is between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience and qualifications.
