Medica's Senior Finance Analyst will analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support. Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; developing forecasts; recommending actions to management.
Key Accountabilities:
Facilitates the preparation of the corporate administrative expense budget.
Provides financial support to corporate projects.
Provides management with information to make informed decisions by developing and providing ongoing analysis of key financial reporting packages including forecasts, dashboards, identifying and monitoring of critical administrative expense metrics and through the development and consistent application of complex financial models.
Partners with operation leadership to establish and continuously monitor key allocation drivers, staffing models and associated product weightings to ensure the accurate allocation of costs to products.
Assists with industry administrative expense comparisons and analysis including participating in various benchmarking studies as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Accounting, etc.) or equivalent experience in related field, plus 5 years of work experience beyond degree required.
Advanced Excel experience required, TM1 experience preferred.
Experience with the following strongly preferred, expense management, position management and model building.
Preferred:
Knowledge of the health insurance industry, operations, and key expense drivers.
Knowledge of and proven experience in GAAP & Statutory reporting requirements.
Experience presenting to senior leadership in a clear and concise.
Solution-oriented project management skills.

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office, Minnetonka/Madison/Omaha, for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership OR This position is a Remote role. The employee must be located in any state in which Medica is an employer and will work remotely 100% of the time.
The full salary range for this position is $67,100 - $115,100. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
