Job Opportunity: Senior Accountant

Role Overview:
As a Senior Accountant at our global headquarters in Chicago, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our financial accuracy and compliance. This position is integral to our finance team, requiring a proactive approach to the period-end close process, maintenance of robust internal controls, and effective collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the period-end closing process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Implement and monitor SOX controls, continually identifying areas for improvement.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts in collaboration with Business Controllers and Global Business Service teams.
• Uphold and advocate for adherence to our accounting policies and procedures across the organization.
• Engage with both internal and external auditors during regular audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Participate in the rollout of new financial tools and support special projects to enhance financial operations and internal controls.
• Work across functions to strengthen financial governance and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 5-7 years of relevant experience in public accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and SOX regulations.
• Exceptional analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to drive change and efficiency in financial processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with a capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and Oracle; CPA certification is preferred.
