Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a team member who is highly skilled and experienced in a manufacturing environment as a Sr. Financial Analyst. This role is crucial in driving cost efficiency and financial accuracy within our operations. The analyst will report directly to the Controller while also working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support strategic decision-making.

Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Cost Accounting

  • Establish and actively review cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate cost allocation, and reporting while also actively participating on monthly accounting close processes related to Revenue and Cost of Goods.

  • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.

  • Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Prepare detailed Revenue and Cost of Goods analysis and reports for management.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to support strategic business decisions.

  • Collaborate with the Finance and Operations teams to ensure alignment of revenue and cost accounting with overall financial goals.

Inventory Management

  • Manage and control inventory costing and valuation processes while working with Operations.

  • Work collaboratively with, and actively manage, review, and improve, routine cycle count process.

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.

Manufacturing Process Analysis

  • Work closely with Operations team to understand manufacturing processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Analyze production costs and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Accounting Support

  • Work with and support accounting team during monthly close process

  • Provide backup support for other team members

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a must.

  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis and cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Superior Excel skills

  • Must be a team player and can develop strong working relationships

  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, adapt to change quickly, and have excellent time management skills
