Amazon has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst as a key member of the International Emerging Finance team. This is an opportunity to be part of Amazon's growth story around the world, driving best practices while addressing the unique challenges of doing business in different countries.
The individual will partner with our Exports and Global Stores business team with key responsibilities of complete P&L reporting and forecasting, financial analysis and guidance on new business initiatives, cost efficiency projects, executive reporting and variance analysis. This role will have significant visibility to senior leadership and will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to meaningfully impact business team's top-line growth as well as contribute to profitability improvements.
The successful candidate is highly analytical, understand key business drivers and:
Have an extremely high level of customer focus and partnering with key internal customers
Have experience with doing analysis in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Have ability to build and manage models for problem solving, variance analysis, and business forecasting
Be capable of monitoring existent metrics, analyzing data and independently driving business change
Have relevant technical experience to analyze complex datasets from SQL, Excel, Tableau and other scripting languages/statistical tools.
Key job Responsibilities include:
Manage and participate in finance and accounting activities across several locations
Support long range financial planning, annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Present financial summaries, and recommendations to senior leadership
Conduct deep dive analyses to identify key business drivers and improvement opportunities
Identify and drive best practices for expansion projects
Perform project specific analysis and decision support reporting
Proven expertise managing, evaluating, analyzing quickly and creating meaningful business reporting
Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with your business partners. Ability to identify root cause issues quickly and uncover core issues using data, then assist, consult with, and teach the business how decisions affect costs in their sites and create new mechanisms as they are needed
Proven ability to deal with competing priorities & provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events
