Who You Are...

The Senior Financial Analyst II is responsible organizing and analyzing data to meet the needs of the business leaders. This includes entering and reviewing forecast, projection, and plan data in the FP&A software tool; analyzing manufacturing variances; reviewing monthly revenue and gross profit activity; preparing financial reporting packages and detailed field services profitability reports; and preparing other reports and calculations required by the business.

Is an integral part of the Finance and Accounting team, supporting our Rail business. Some examples of the work you might do include...

  • Primary FP&A solution (Planful) point of contact for Rail Products, Global Friction Management, and Salient, including assist business unit leaders with projection, forecasting, and planning activities, enter and review monthly projection data, quarterly forecast data, and annual operating plan and long-term profit plan data.

  • Review monthly Sales and Gross Profit activity, determine necessary adjustments, and coordinate with the Enterprise Accounting team to record and post the resulting entries.

  • Prepare detailed monthly reporting packages for the Friction Management U.S. and Salient entities, as well as provide financial accounting oversight and month end closing activities for Salient.

  • Analyze monthly manufacturing variances and identify root causes and compile detailed field services profitability report and analytics for U.S. operations.

  • Calculate quarterly achievements to target, for Sales Incentive Plan payout calculations.

  • Reconcile trade AR, AP, and inter-company activity for Friction Management U.S. and Salient entities.

  • Calculate and accrue customer rebates arising from Customer Loyalty Programs.

  • Invoice customers for work performed and review documents for revenue recognition compliance.

  • Sarbanes Oxley compliance activities as required and assist with other compliance activities as needed.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • 6+ years of relevant accounting experience required.

  • MBA preferred

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience with Infor Visual, SAP and JD Edwards preferred

  • Meet commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

  • Ability to work well under deadlines, prioritize work, and deliver results on time

  • Self-starting with good organizational skills

  • Ability to exercise independent, sound judgment and decision making

  • Full understanding of accounting principles and all financial statement interactions along with the understanding of the business drivers and how they drive results

  • Must be comfortable working with raw data and transforming it into insights and information to use in management decision making

Join us.</p><p>We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our corporate departments with specific emphasis on the Digital Technology (DT) organization. This position will be located at either at our Enterprise Resource Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or our corporate office in Dallas, Texas. We offer a flexible work policy that includes the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule from home and from the office, this is not a fully remote opportunity.</p><p>Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis with dotted line responsibility to the SVP Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO), you will have ownership supporting the digital technology (DT) team as the finance business partner. Working closely with the DT team to gain a deep understanding of the short- and long-term initiatives required to support the organization and execute the strategy. In addition to supporting the CDIO and the DT team, this position will be responsible for financial analysis of additional corporate departments. This is a broad role partnering with the Digital Technology Lead Team and many cross-functional teams including our corporate accounting and business unit finance to ensure financials are inclusive of all costs and potential risks.</p><p>To be successful, you will have to quickly learn ATI's business and use your analytical skills to effectively analyze and interpret financial results, assist with monthly and quarterly forecasts, perform variance analysis, and identify risks and opportunities that are critical to the success of the organization.</p><p>Additional Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Act as a member of the Digital Technology team (attend their staff and leadership meetings, be a true business partner to the SVP CDIO in addition to supporting other FP&amp;A priorities</p></li><li><p>Lead the annual planning process and partner with DT leadership to support business initiatives, scenario analysis and ensure alignment across the organization</p></li><li><p>Support the Corporate FP&amp;A team with analysis of departmental expenses and forecasting</p></li><li><p>Analyze and prepare meaningful reports to support DT leaders in understanding the actual and forecasted spend</p></li><li><p>Provide recommendations to the CDIO and DT Leadership on prioritizing projects to meet the enterprise-wide strategy</p></li><li><p>Lead the capital process for applications and infrastructure from start to finish including evaluating the return on investment, lease vs. buy, and completing the approval process</p></li><li><p>Prepare financial models and analytical reports to drive business decisions</p></li><li><p>Ensure delivery of financial commitments, drive process standardization initiatives, and assist with streamlining financial reporting processes</p></li><li><p>Translate complex data and financial results into clear, engaging, and actionable insights to be shared with the Chief Digital Information Officer and DT Lead team</p></li><li><p>Prepare ad-hoc analysis as requested</p></li></ul><p>Basic Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting</p></li><li><p>At least three (3) years of FP&amp;A experience</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications (In addition to Basic Qualifications)</p><ul><li>MBA</li></ul><p>We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
