This position reports to the Manager or Director of Managed Care Analysis and is responsible for preparing, analyzing and presenting financial information to support operational and strategic decision making. This position provides financial support to the organization including managed care contract analysis, revenue enhancement initiatives, data/trend analysis, assistance with monthly close process, and various financial analyses.
Assists in the contract negotiation process by preparing financial models of current and proposed contract rates for the health system. Suggest pricing strategies to maximize reimbursement.
Performs financial analysis of each managed care contract and provide key observations on historical data/trends, bad debt and charity write-off, etc. This includes preparing year-end performance/trend summaries.
Perform audits on managed care claims to ensure the correct expected payment is received and EPIC is netting down claims correctly.
Assist contract management application coordinators with interpreting contacts, as well as, maintaining accurate rates in the EPIC contract management module. This includes submitting tickets to CM when new contracts are created, rates change or contract terms; as well as maintaining payer/plan linking to contract terms in EPIC.
Other responsibilities include various projects as they develop, including reimbursement analysis of the effect of new technologies, new hospital services, new coding rules and other revenue enhancement projects.

Education: BS Degree in Finance or Accounting (or similar) or equivalent experience
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of finance experience.
Demonstrated knowledge with financial applications and processes.
Demonstrated ability to interact with leadership teams. Demonstrates developed analytical skills including identification of issues/opportunities and potential resolution. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish and carry out goals/objectives ; Demonstrates appropriate prioritization, efficiency, and problem solving. Strong Microsoft Office skills
