We are adding Two Senior Financial Analysts to join our FP&A team at Fingerhut!

Senior Financial Analyst

• Merchandising is accountable for financial planning and analysis, focusing on strategies to enhance profitability and drive sales growth. This role also drives key financials analyses, business processes, and decisions in partnership with internal stakeholders. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations. This role will provide critical financial and analytical support to business partners within merchandising, inventory, finance, and executive leadership.

• Supply Chain is accountable for financial planning and analysis supporting key cost elements on both the income statement and balance sheet. This role also drives key financials analyses, business processes, and decisions in partnership with internal stakeholders. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. This role will provide critical financial and analytical support to business partners within transportation, operations, third party logistics, and executive leadership.

This role is based out of our Eden Prairie, MN head office within our hybrid environment that has team members come into the office 3 days a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare complete and accurate financial modeling of key performance indicators for the merchandising, inventory & finance organizations

• Facilitate management's understanding of financial performance through monthly variance analysis

• Provide in-depth financial analysis to support key business decisions such as promotional planning and analysis, assortment optimization, and other ad hoc projects

• Develop annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with business leaders to gather relevant data, assess budgetary needs, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives

• Analyze the profitability of individual businesses to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization

• Provide key analytical support to help the merchandising team discover & quantify negotiation opportunities

• Lead partners through comprehensive quarterly financial reviews to generate new business opportunities

• Review and challenge key assumptions, drivers, and metrics used in the forecast & planning process

• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related fields

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or related fields

• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and critical thinking skills

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel and related Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills

• Proven ability to build strong relationships across teams

• Curiosity, drive, and aptitude to find creative solutions

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment

• Knowledge of Oracle, Essbase, and SQL

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, manage projects, and meet challenging deadlines
