JOB SUMMARY

This role will provide a well-qualified and energetic candidate with a diverse experience within the Finance function of a large multinational Pharmaceutical company that will include a variety of responsibilities in the areas of management reporting, project management, and problem solving. The position will support the Reporting team in all budget and forecast submission cycles as well as in the monthly actuals reporting. The role will require a candidate that is comfortable operating independently in a fast paced environment and must have strong analytical and financial system competencies. This job allows a candidate to learn about the business operations of the Pharma business while leveraging their Accounting and Finance knowledge.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and distribute sales reports to various parties throughout the organization, including the most senior levels of management.

  • Analyze, interpret and summarize financial and other supporting data for management reports, presentations and ad hoc requests.

  • Prepare monthly accounting entries and reconcile accounts impacting the Gross to Net Sales lines.

  • Participate in the monthly sales trend process which requires collaboration with P&L Finance Leads, Therapeutic Area (TA) Heads & Trade.

  • Provide quality variance analysis against Budget/Forecast and prior year and submit to Primary Care Finance Leadership.

  • Participate in the daily sales reporting process.

  • Develop & perform monthly process analyzing trends in major channels (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) as well as top payor accounts.

  • Support the development of robust GTN forecasting and actuals process across Finance, Contracting & Pricing, and Market Access

  • Assist in the preparation and review of the GTN reserves analysis process to ensure reserves are properly stated, risks are identified and mitigated, and GTN rates are appropriately captured.

  • Analyze and track the effect of legislation and policies (ex. Affordable Care Act) on GTNs.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with an area of specialization in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred but not required.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of diversified financial/accounting experience; pharmaceutical industry and public accounting experience preferred.

MAJOR SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of financial systems especially in TM1 and SAP

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong to advanced excel skillsmust be able to download data and use pivot tables, V-look ups, macros, etc.

  • Strong analytical capabilities

  • Customer focused and results orientated.

  • Leadership experience

  • Strong business acumen

  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills written and oral
