The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Credit and Collections, this position will be responsible for global AR reporting and analysis, DSO reporting and analysis, seeking process improvements as well as identifying methods to improve business performance, reporting, and compliance.

The Responsibilities

  • Solicit input, compile, and prepare the weekly A/R cash forecast for the US

  • Prepare and present the monthly and quarterly North America AR reports and analysis

  • Solicit input from regional finance teams to compile, prepare and present monthly and quarterly global AR reports and analysis

  • Complete DSO calculations, including Trend analysis and monitoring for optimal results

  • Assist in design and implementation of enhanced automation of required reporting

  • Support AOP process by preparing and/or compiling AR inputs and DSO forecasts

  • Assist with audits, period end, quarter end and year end accounting processes

  • Ongoing support of Finance and the business by timely, meaningful and accurate reporting designed to drive strong business performance and mitigate business risks

  • Update and maintain process documentation (e.g. work instructions, standard operating procedures, etc.)

  • Complete other assignments as requested

The Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred

  • Previous SAP, BPC experience a plus

  • 3+ years relevant work experience preferred

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management

  • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes and initiatives

  • Demonstrated strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

The Senior Financial Analyst will act as client-facing business partner between Finance and the information technology infrastructure organizations (IT Infrastructure). This individual will operate with high level of autonomy; provide financial expertise to all levels of IT management; and facilitate part of a $1 billion expense budget. Responsibilities include FP&A (Budgeting, forecasting, NPV & IRR analysis, et cetera), financial modeling, business case development, acquisition/ divestiture support as well as quarterly close activities. Key Responsibilities: * Support JJT infrastructure team with business planning and forecasting. This includes collaboration with key business partners, external vendors and the global JJT finance team, * Support JJT quarter close activities including journal entries (accruals, re-classes, pre-paid, et cetera), headcount tracking, and consolidation of global commentary, * Understand IT spend and IT financial management including underlying financial processes and controls, * Compose business cases and provide leadership for JJT critical initiatives (i.e. groundbreaking work, acquisition/ divestiture, et cetera), * Aid in the analysis of capital appropriation (CAR) requests and capital spend tracking, * Collaborate with regional and global Finance teams and the JJT organization in support of the business, including IT financial mentorship, timelines, deliverables, and ad-hoc projects, * Drive continuous process improvements on an as-needed basis to simplify processes, reduce complexity and provide relevant insights to enable decision making, * Support the multi-year transformation programs and business cases, * Support acquisition integration and business divestiture activity * This position will report to the IT Finance Senior Manager and within the J&J-wide IT Finance Organization. Qualifications * Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required * Advanced degree, MBA, CMA, CPA, or other, financial certification is preferred * A minimum of 3-years business experience is required * Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel are required * Individual is required to perform in a dynamic environment, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously * The candidate should be self-motivated with a track record of proven leadership abilities with senior business leaders and finance colleagues * Knowledge of IT Finance in any of the following areas (infrastructure operations, application development and support services, IT pricing, and billing systems is preferred * Financial modeling experience is preferred * This role will be located in Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% travel.
