About Your Role

You love numbers and data and can make any spreadsheet sing! You will work directly with finance leads on budgeting, forecasting and reporting. The ideal candidate will be very hands-on, curious, flexible and service-oriented. You will need to develop smooth, cooperative working relationships with all levels in the company and be comfortable presenting financial information in a clear concise way.

About Your Contributions

  • Financial planning including annual operating plan and monthly forecast updates.

  • Monthly and quarterly reporting packages including P&L's, revenue dashboards, and other key deliverables to shareholders.

  • Partner with accounting during the month-end close to ensure timely and accurate financial results. Includes oversight of close as well as accruals.

  • Variance analysis comparing financial results, key metrics, and traffic to plan and prior period. Building roadmaps/recons for management to understand key variances.

  • Data retrieval, input and maintenance for multiple finance files.

  • Monitor and develop methodologies for analyzing business KPIs. Inform business decisions with thoughtful analysis.

  • Deliver clear verbal and written explanations of analyses to senior management that translate findings into strategic recommendations.

  • Evaluate large and complex data sets that translate data into actionable insights.

About You

  • 5-7 years financial planning experience, including experience in Reporting, Financial Analysis, Accounting or related fields

  • Prior experience with online advertising businesses is a plus

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics

  • Experience providing decision support to senior management

  • Demonstrated forecasting skills and understanding of business financial structures

  • Ability to set and deliver on expectations in the agreed-upon amount of time

  • Proven experience in building strong financial models

  • Expert in Excel and proficient in Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable managing meetings and interfacing with executive management team

  • Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Discoverer experience helpful

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for driving business performance and predictability through financial planning, value-added reporting and analysis, and financial partnership with key stakeholders throughout the organization. In this role, you will use well-honed analytical and communication skills to track and influence business performance. You will collaborate directly with heads of each operating unit, projecting and analyzing all facets of revenue and expense, with the objective of optimizing growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a background of strong financial acumen and applied knowledge of customer acquisition cost (CAC), payback period measurement, lifetime value (LTV), and all related concepts. DOODIES: Play a critical role in driving the company's financial planning process, building relationships to garner participation/buy-in of key stakeholders across the organization. Maintain monthly, quarterly, and yearly P&L forecasting, and prepare capital budgeting and re-forecasting, including cash/working capital. Lead the development of detailed monthly reporting and analytics. Develop recommendations and provide upper management with insightful commentary on business performance and deliver actionable recommendations. Drive consistent and best-in-class processes across business units. Work with individual business unit leaders to drive integration of financial information and analysis and identify smart actions and mitigate any potential risk. Partner with our internal Accounting team on monthly close process, financial reporting, and preparation of GAAP financial statements. Prepare material for board of directors and investor relations activities. QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of finance and strategic analysis experience in FP&A at a high growth company Experience with monthly/quarterly/annual accounting processes Experience building financial models from scratch Experience in saas/subscription/recurring revenue Ability to understand, interpret, and summarize large quantities of complex data Excellent excel and powerpoint skills Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics concisely and clearly in a written or verbal format Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study preferred, MBA a plus Experience with financial planning and business intelligence tools a plus Must love dogs!
