Overview
The Sr. Financial Analyst has the ability to work in a hybrid work environment, working from home and in-office at our Camp Hill, PA, Corporate Office.
Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a talented and hardworking Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Store Development Finance team. The Financial Analyst should have thorough knowledge of accounting and financial processes, partner well across Store Development teams, and be highly pro-active in identifying process improvement opportunities. The role will collaborate with FSC & FP&A on Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance Analysis, Expense Management, etc. to ensure consistent global standards and proper financials controls and innovate with new technologies to drive efficiency.
Responsibilities
Capital Management
Track committed capital and forecast open to buy spend for various capital buckets.
Partner with various functions to provide key insights to optimize spend going forward.
Prepare Pro-forma modeling for various investment scenarios
Review WIP and work with business owners to understand usage plan.
Allocate capitalized salaries at store level
Expense Management
Develop rent, depreciation, and store open/close budgets at store level.
Compile occupancy budgets and analyze basis point contribution vs sales plan.
Prepare and submit rent & depreciation forecasts on a timely basis throughout fiscal month based on the latest capital forecast and approved deals.
Ensure assets are properly accelerated based on signed capital/closure CARs.
Track progress of capital projects to ensure that asset registers are submitted in time and new assets are established in accordance with accounting standards.
Identify opportunities from historical data and provide key insights to broader team to pursue cost reduction initiatives.
Completion of various month-end/quarter-end reporting functions, such as: analytical comments of occupancy variance to plan and various reporting.
Other Responsibilities
Compile North America occupancy views as part of the planning cycle
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities. Drive efficiency through technology.
Visually present data in an easy to digest format for audience.
Prepare and present accurate, well-supported financial analysis and ad hoc reporting.
Interact and work closely with other departments.
Deliver completed assignments within the specified time frame.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance and/or business administration.
2-4 years of financial analysis experience is preferred.
Must be able to work additional hours during busy periods.
Strong experience working within Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Access, etc).
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment as well as working independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience with and/or knowledge of PeopleSoft and running PeopleSoft queries.
Benefits
The annual base salary range is $60000 - $70000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
