The Senior Financial Analyst will be charged with elevating the business performance management capabilities of the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. He/she will contribute to decision-making effectiveness across the organization. This person will be responsible for providing timely and quality analytics and narrative for business performance across the entire business, by using financial and non-financial measures. He/she will work closely with the CEO, CFO, and senior leadership to manage financial risks and opportunities and to ensure the delivery of annual targets and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Drive a bottoms up annual budgeting exercise across the operation that ensures resources are allocated appropriately and are aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with all business functions / areas of the operation to align activities and objectives with the financial plan
  • Develop forecasting and budgeting models
  • Will play a key role in translating the strategic plan to an annual plan
  • Drive decision making and accountability to achieve financial targets. Partner and educate the business on value creation
  • Provide financial and operational analytics to functional business partners to help identify growth opportunities, effectively manage costs, and mitigate business risks
  • Improve customer and channel profitability analysis
  • Partner with operations to perform strategic pricing analysis and recommend optimal pricing for our 3PL business based on an activity-based costing exercise
  • Will drive continuous improvement in management reporting and ad-hoc decision support by leveraging current systems and/or identifying tools that will enhance and improve our current capabilities
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly results and provide variance analysis of monthly financial results across all financial statements (P&L, BS, CF)
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly results commentary for internal management reporting and regional reporting
  • Seamlessly combine information from multiple data sources to create key performance indicators that go beyond purely financial metrics, to include operational indicators as well
  • Provide business analytics and financial support on operations and strategic initiatives


Qualifications and Skills

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to design financial & non-financial measurements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improved business performance
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts & principles including cash flow, NPV, IRR, ROI, Economic Profit, etc.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the drivers of profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flows
  • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis with advanced Financial Modeling and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of the principles of cost accounting and activity-based costing
  • Experience working with ERPs, Consolidation Systems, and management reporting / BI tools
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office is a must, experience working in NetSuite is preferred

The Cloud Operations Software Analyst will be supporting the full suite of products and services in production environments. This includes products hosted in FIS' Cloud and the public cloud. The position requires a self-motivated individual with proven technical expertise, particularly in Cloud technologies, and excellent communication skills. The Senior Operations Software Analyst will acquire skills and knowledge to be a subject matter expert in providing Managed Hosted Services in a secure, high performance and resilient infrastructure. What you will be doing The Cloud Operations Software Analyst will be responsible for the support and operation of FIS' Insurance clients' Managed Services environments. As the IT Build Engineer you will focus on automation of administrative tasks for massive server environments in high demand, ensuring continual delivery for customers. This position is virtual able to work from anywhere in the US Incident management - Act as a point of escalation for the Service Desk for diagnosis and resolution of incidents in a 3rd line capacity. Problem management - Identify and remediate root cause of complex issues affecting delivery of the service. Identify potential problems and propose preventative measures to reduce/remove the likelihood of the problem affecting the service going forward. Change management - Author change requests and submit to the Change Board. Provide technical peer review and approval for changes submitted by other team members. Implement changes during and outside of business hours. Management of infrastructure services - Active Directory, Citrix, DNS, firewalls, DFS, SQL and working with the Technical Architect on the overall architecture and design. Disaster recovery - Act as the primary point of contact for documentation and execution of technical recovery procedures. Partake in quarterly DR tests and document approach and findings. Where necessary respond to major incidents outside of core business hours. Patch management - Perform technical approval of operating systems and application patches through a formal test process. Ensure patches are successful or issues remediated. Implementation and upgrade of Insurance applications .
