About the opportunity

The Deal Desk Analyst will work cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Contracts, Finance and Legal teams to provide quoting and deal structuring support to the Global Sales Team. This Analyst will support the deal process by working with internal teams on opportunity packaging and pricing; providing account management and deal strategy support; and communicating to both internal and external customers. Successful candidates in this role will have issue identification and resolution experience and have an extremely high bar for customer service. We seek a person who thrives on being organized and highly adaptive, has a high emotional IQ, and is extremely detail oriented in our fast paced and fluid environment.

What you will bring

  • Serve as the main point of contact for day to day deal support requests from the sales organization

  • Create and edit sales quotes with custom pricing and complex terms

  • Work with the Sales team, Management, Legal and Finance to ensure negotiated deals are documented properly and in alignment with Ellucian's policies.

  • Create quotes, schedules and amendments that reflect product upgrades, maintenance renewals, and add-ons which may include cumulative discounting structures - you will become the subject matter expert on the nuances of Strategic/Enterprise level customer accounts.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Ellucian's pricing models

What you will bring

  • You have 3+ years of high-volume Deal Desk experience in an enterprise-level business environment. You've worked with transactions of varying degrees of complexity using a CRM or ERP system

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an analytical role within one or more of the disciplines of Sales, Marketing, or Finance

  • Ability to analyze & recommend the best course of action for complex pricing & licensing situations.

  • Knowledge of Cloud Services and SaaS Software and Solutions is highly recommended

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with modeling and analysis

  • Experience creating customer/prospect proposals

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proactive, creative, and results oriented individual

  • Experience in data analysis, modeling, or financial analysis to support revenue growth

Analyst of Financial Planning &amp; Analysis The Analyst of Catalysts Financial Planning &amp; Analysis will provide analysis of the Company's business operations and cash flows. Responsibilities include budgeting, business analysis and forecasting. The Analyst of Catalyst Financial Planning &amp; Analysis will execute data gathering, manipulation, summarization, analysis of monthly financial reporting, and develop leadership presentations. More specific responsibilities include: * <li>Maintain monthly reports for actual results compared to budget, prior year and forecast. Review results with management and provide a complete understanding of variances; this includes driving efforts to understand root causes of variances and making recommendations to enhance business performance * Assist in preparation of the annual budget and provide guidance to global Catalyst business teams including: managing the data collection, analyzing the information to validate completeness and accuracy with the goal of communicating trends and key drivers to segment leadership * Supports monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages to PQ Corporation on a US GAAP basis * Develop a level of expertise in financial reporting systems (SAP and BPC) to continuously improve business process, standardize reporting and train employees. Ensure reporting systems and source data are accurate and reconciled including supporting accounting with variance analysis * Assist Catalyst management with understanding and managing the performance of the business. Review key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards to monitor the business, specifically with regard to efficiency, cash usage, profitability and time &amp; resource management. * Support the month end close process. * Take responsibility for business analysis and decision support. Job Requirements In addition to the necessary skills and experience to perform the responsibilities outlined above, there are a number of traits that a successful candidate will possess.
