Role Summary:Performs financial analysis and provides insights to influence business decisions of Cox2M, Cox Edge, and New Growth. Provides business case support and other financial analysis for Strategy (Cox2M, Edge Services and New Growth) initiatives. Evaluates data and analyzes trends in sales, operations, general business conditions, and other related areas. Identifies performance issues and makes recommendations to management for remedial actions.
Responsible for large, complex projects. Work requires independence in a start-up environment; determines and develops approach to projects with limited data. Receives guidance only on unusual or highly complex problems. Sometimes expected to review reports/business cases with executives. Expert level of Excel proficiency.
Build, maintain, and evaluate business cases
Understand the initiative goal and operational plan
Asks in-depth questions to understand benefits and costs associated with the initiative
Gather data supporting the benefits and associated costs
Build financial models with detailed assumptions to provide an understanding of the financial impact and returns
Provides financial and operational consultative services through collaborative partnerships with clients and peer groups
Identifies recommendations and supports facilitating changes; analyzes and reviews data and resolves questions and/or problems.
Implements process improvement, standardizes reporting and modeling across Cox2M, Cox Edge, and New Growth areas
Conducts research and analysis of financial data needed in planning, budgeting, and trend analysis to provide informed recommendations to leadership in setting and realizing profit objectives, and identifies emerging financial trends
Performs ad-hoc financial analyses and accounting guidance at multiple levels of complexity which may include calculations of rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, budgeting, cost analysis, and financial and expense performance comparisons
5 years of experience in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Business) 3+ years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
Advanced financial modeling skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Point and other financial platforms and tools (e.g., Essbase)
Strong communications and presentation skills
Building trust with clients
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Strategic thinker and problem solver
BS/BA in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
Experience in telecommunications industry
