Sr. Financial Analyst, Controlling will provide controlling support within the Diabetes and Cardiovascular OPEX perimeter in North America, including preparation of budgets and forecasts (Strategic Plan / Budget / F1 / F2 / Quarterly Landings), monthly closings (accruals, expense reviews, scorecards), project approval and tracking, and other financial planning & analysis activities on a timely basis. Selected candidate will work closely with the leads of each function to drive results and help them control their forecasts / budgets. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Close the books and present monthly results to business partners on a timely basis. This includes:
Booking journal entries and preparing account analysis
Validation of accruals
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations providing a clear explanation of balance fluctuations
Assist with providing monthly commentary to explain variances between actual results and / or budget / forecasts. This includes:
Consolidate monthly actuals data in central tool (TM1) - From local SAP data, Magnitude
Provide support for the monthly Performance reports and analysis
Identify risks and opportunities that affect the achievement of these forecasts
Tracking of headcount on a monthly basis and comparing to budgeted and forecasted vacancy rates
Educate client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure full compliance
Approve project spend and ensuring projects are budgeted properly
Assist in preparation of AED Executive Summaries for all projects requiring Corporate approval
Ad hoc projects as required
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with an area of specialization in Finance, Accounting, or Operations is required. CPA or advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of diversified financial controlling experience.
Strong working experience with Excel.
Strong analytical capabilities and proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders is required.
Position may require up to 5% travel.
Public accounting experience.
Previous work-related experience within the Pharmaceutical industry experience.
Experience with TM1 and SAP.
