The Senior Financial Analyst will support FP&A activities for Science Group of Clarivate. This position is expected to add value by tracking revenue & operating expenses along with generating business analysis, metrics and other critical decision support analysis to facilitate informed.
This position will be responsible for expense management, including monthly reporting, analysis and other ad-hoc requests as well as maintaining various supporting templates, FTE analysis and working closely with the operational teams.
In addition, role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial results, consistency with corporate and business unit and procedures, identification and communication of risk and opportunities to limit surprises.
Support month-end close, forecasting, and annual planning process for product. Develop, coordinate and prepare operating revenue and expense plans and estimates including related commentary and analysis to support estimates and budget
Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders to ensure that financial plans and monthly/quarterly analyses are accurate, complete and timely
Assist in preparation of monthly reporting package and other business presentations as required; prepare ad hoc reports as needed
Assist with the month end close and allocation processes
Analyze operating expenses and report significant variance
Prepare and analyze monthly operations, report significant variances
Distribute monthly reports on key business drivers and trends to stakeholders
Strive for continuous process improvement in assigned areas
Support other Clarivate finance and accounting requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (required)
Minimum of 5 years of accounting, financial analysis, and reporting experience
Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
Self-starter who can complete complex assignments with attention to detail
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong Microsoft Excel competency and experience with financial reporting systems
Strong work ethic, with ability to work extended hours as required
