Identify variances and trends in data analyzed and prepare reports that inform others as to the reasons for such variances and trends. Present findings, ideas and results to various lines of business, including all levels of management. Summarize data and review data reconciled by others from internal sources and third parties, to ensure accurate reporting of data, based on current data sources and values. Ability to prepare clear, concise and informative written communications, including white papers, presentations, and supporting workpapers. Prepare various reconciliations of general ledger accounts to independent sources. Provide guidance to others within the department as needed to ensure timely completion of tasks in a complete and accurate manner. Consistently applies advanced accounting principles, theories and concepts that contribute to the development of innovative processes and procedures. Continually demonstrates strong knowledge of accounting systems, accounting concepts and US GAAP. Demonstrates a working knowledge of data flow, data representation and data reporting.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Preparation, review and analysis of the Bank's financial data and trends and effective and timely identification, communication and reporting of financial information and related trends and variances
Support the change control process over the reports submitted to Company and external personnel to maintain the quality and data integrity
Design and constantly improve analytics performed, focusing on changes in the various business lines and external drivers.
Present findings, reports and ideas to various levels of management which help drive business decisions.
Interact with internal and external auditors during various audits.
Accounting, Finance or related business degree required. MBA or applicable graduate degree preferred, CPA also preferred
Four years or greater of work related experience (6 + years preferred) (banking experience preferred)
Excellent organizational, analytical and communication (oral and written) skills
Advanced Excel skills utilizing large data sets
Experience with other Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent inter-personal, influencing, negotiation, consensus building and conflict resolution skills
