Posted 3 months ago seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for our rapidly growing Global Finance Operations (FinOps) Services team. This position will be located in Seattle, WA and will partner with the Director of FinOps Services, Operations Excellence and their leadership team to develop and maintain strategic multi-year plans, translate rapid business growth to operational support needs and financial implication and provide decision support for initiatives focused on supporting rapid growth across multiple businesses and geographies while delivering best in class customer experience. This position will also be responsible for driving monthly and quarterly close functions for the global FinOps Services Organization and for driving a number of strategic global initiatives focused on investment optimization and process efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving annual and multi-year budgeting and variable cost productivity plans

  • Partnering with the global leadership team to develop strategic multi-year plans and implementing processes to prioritize resource decisions and track the top investments and initiatives necessary to exceed future state targets

  • Leading monthly and quarterly consolidation and analysis of operating plan budget to actual results at the Director level

  • Translating multi-year goal statements into fundamental key performance indicators which can be used to effectively diagnose positive or negative trends and support business decisions

  • Performing deep dive analysis requiring financial modeling to develop recommendations and impact the decision making of senior leadership

Responsibilities: Holland America Line supporting Holland America Group, is currently searching for a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst who will support HA Group in the area of Freight and Logistics costs. This position is responsible for the company's financial forecasting, annual planning, operating plan variance analysis and special projects as they relate to Freight and Logistics. The position provides financial consulting and support to Logistics operations personnel as well as senior management. The analysis includes preparing financial presentations, analyzing operating data and operations P&Ls as well as other ad hoc reporting. This is a hands on role that requires the analyst to work directly with the operations personnel by getting involved to understand and improve the business. The ideal candidate must have strong communication and advanced Excel skills and the ability to present financial data to a "non-finance" audience. This position reports to the Sr. Finance Manager, Ship Operating Expenses. * Perform required monthly financial close activities including reviewing ledger entries made by accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Conducts key qualitative and quantitative financial analysis; documents complex financial and plan analysis; prepares and maintains financial modeling required for strategic and financial planning. * Assists as needed in the consolidation and analysis of the monthly and quarterly forecasts, analyzing actual results and forecasts against plan, prior forecast and prior year and works with operations to understand the business drivers of financial variances. * Supports the annual strategic/business planning process by providing analysis on the financial impact of key trends, alternatives and interpretation of cost and profit. * Provide senior management and the operations team with in-depth financial analysis of actual spend to drive insights on trends, investment areas and opportunities to optimize costs driving better decision making. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience. * 3+ years of Finance/Accounting experience. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Experience developing, evaluating and improving complex financial models and processes. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. * Proficiency in financial software and systems including Oracle and Hyperion Planning. * Ability to develop, communicate, and facilitate budget and forecast processes.
